The common problem is the lamda sensors bring up bank 1-5 / bank 6-10.
More than half of the gallardos we have worked on bring this light up if the car is stop started alot , or driven slowly around town etc .
Have found that the light will clear it self most of the time after a couple of good runs .
The light comes on showing that the cat is not working correctly below min threshold between lamda before and after cat.
I think it was either mapping was too tight on limits or lambdas have been changed and common on early cars .
dont quote me on that one
the last car with us was gallardo SL (early model) and was fine the week with us, customer picked the car up and on the way home same fault code came up which cleared after a couple of drives .
found even if you clear the fault first without driving the car first to get the engine and exhaust system up to temperature , the fault flags up soon after pulling away .
Driving car then clearing the fault after a good drive works .
of course you may have a different fault thou or even a failed lambda
Let us know what they find
Had the same happen to 360 spider 2 weeks ago midway through our services after moving the car onto another ramp , once warmed up fully and cleared fault has not come back .

I have had this happen twice on my 07 Spyder, first time I didnt know when it come on but after a few days it went off, second time I was diving slowly enough for the gear to change down itself ( 2nd to 1st I think ) and the car jerked forward and the light came on immediatly, again a after a few days and several runs it stopped, I have heard it can be the fuel cap if its not screwed in tighly also the wet thing, car washing etc.
Ive had this too (08 08 Coupe Egear). What actually is the procdure for clearing its as ive heard the following>
Engine on and off three times then arm and disarm the locking?
Leave with cap of petrol tank overnight then take out for a thrash?
Use a hand held scanner to cleaer the codes?
Oh and does the 'dont run on low fuel' warning mean you will encouarge hs fault?

THE most common cause of engine warning light problems with cars of this vintage are the exhaust pressure sensor pipes. They condense up inside especially when running around town. This causes them to corrode and block up rendering the sensors inoperative.
The only way of truly clearing an engine fault code is to fix the problem, and then clear the fault code from the ECU's memory using a diagnostic tool. Locking and unlocking the car, leaving the fuel cap off, rubbing a lucky rabbit's foot all have no effect what so ever.
Bank 1-5 driver's side, Bank 6-10 passenger side.

i had this problem on my gallardo. it happened alot on cold mornings.
light 1-5 used to come on then go to 1-6
i had the lambo sensors changed and was still happening.
I found the main reason was it was blowing a 10 fuse behind the drivers seat. 3rd or 4th one down down. its a red one.
when the light comes on check these fuses. it may sound silly but this is what my gallardo was doing.
as soon as you change the blown fuse restart the engine and the lights go off.

Another good tip is to never have less than a quater of fuel in the tank. I heard this causes it majority of the time
I still don't know where this comes from but I regularly wait until mine shows 30 miles or less before I fill up. Yesterday and in the past it has gone right down to 0 miles and the needle on the red with no lights or issues whatsoever. I'd rather have fresh fuel in mine than stale fuel however much diluted.Caelum Blue said:

my warning light only comes on when it has more than 1/2 tank of fuel in it. so in my case the less fuel it has then no warning lights. Then again I did get a code reader and the fault is to do with the evap recyling system from the tank so no surprise there really.ssnet said:

I am confused how you can get a bank of 1-6 on a V10. Surely there are 2 banks of 1-5 and 6-10? Maybe your Gallardo thinks it has a V12 installed!!!light 1-5 used to come on then go to 1-6
