3200 Meet - Sunday 25 April 2004
Discussion
Looking forward to sunday ( me + 1 ) if anyone is counting. I'm sure I e-mailed offlist that I was going but just in case. The car is really looking dirty but dont want to clean it in the current weather. No doubt I will be out early Sunday morning washing it. Sorry if this is old ground . but has anyone had their car "Teflon" finished. I have been advised that this is better that the autoglym version. Will will have a full set of 3200 colours on sunday. Mine is Nero Carbonio. How many "wrong" cars are coming
See you Sunday

Excellent. So far, 9 cars have said they will be there on Sunday. Hopefully we'll pick up a few more when they catch on that Sunday is forecast to be glorious!!
Ian, I haven't tried the Teflon stuff you talk of, but I know that Swissol and Zymol both have "protective" wax products. Obviously you don't get the same protection as one of the teflon bra thingies, but they do help and they are significantly cheaper....
See you Sunday.

meeting point is the rose and crown pub (conveniently the 'ph' on the map).
I'm working on getting the route mapped out for those of you who want an advance copy, but unfortunately very busy in the office today so it might have to wait until I get home and get a copy of photoshop on the case.

Thanks for arranging today (Rich & Nick? ) It was a pleassure meeting everyone, and as a new member I was made to feel very welcome. Advise on the car was fantastic. I can assure you all that my sideways entrance to the T junction was absolutely under control ... honest . I was contemplating organising a New Forest run and perhaps a picnic if anyone would be interested. It was nice to see Greg's Porsche which has a lovely engine note. Nearly as nice as Nick's Tubi'd 3200. Anyway, wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks again.

I'm really gutted I missed yesterday. This will sound really lame but I went on line yesterday when I got up to check the arrangements and the site was down and stayed down all morning. I couldn't remember the name of the pub or anything!
So how was the drive? And anyone want to try and describe the sound of Nick's Tubi'd 3200? Anyway, hope a good time was had by all.

Thanks Ian. It was great to meet some people at last. Lovely day for a blast in the company of some truly stunning cars. Your idea of a picnic in the New Forest sounds great. Just tell me when.
Shame you couldn't make it Chris. Hope to see you next time. As for the sound of the Tubi...I feel like I have a new car!

Hi Dan,
Welcome to PH, you'll find it a useful and friendly place I'm sure!
No specific plans for the next meet (this weekend was the first really), though there is a relatively regular meet for all PH cars at Virginina Water (not sure when the next one is). There will be another 3200 meet though so watch this space.
As for check engine lights, doesn't happen on mine, but seems that the sensor that turns it on is most likely the issue rather than the engine. New sensor is relatively easy fix I believe. As for drinking coolant not had that issue myself - anyone else?

Gutted I had to miss it. Cock up by the dealer means I couldn't get the car back til Tuesday.
Hopefully we can do something else soon so I can come along.
Had the warning light on mine come up a couple of times, I understand it's a very common fault and it's the sensor rather than the engine!
