H10 LAM is featured on some You Tube footage from the 1990's - search for Lamborghini Club UK 1/3 - there are 3 videos on there. Pretty poor quality but interesting nonetheless. Ken is seen standing next to it

... that was actually the first LCUK meeting I attended on a very bright and frosty day in early 1997.

You can see me on the right of the screen at 03:46 of 1/3 - smoking a tab, drinking a pint and sitting down with m' legs crossed whilst talking to my 'assistant' who had been for a drive with Ken just moments before ...

So many memorable cars and people just on that day alone - shame about the max-pants music options!!

biggrin

... and just 3 cars that I've subsequently driven

Nice to see all the Lambo's there, including my one.

I went to Le Mans in June 1999, together with my father who was a member of the Aston Martin Owners Club (I later bought his DB7 off him...). Was a great few days and because there was some celebration for Aston Martin at Le Mans that year, all Aston club members were allowed to do 4 laps on the race track on one of the days. I was allowed to join together with a Ferrari, a Morgan, Bentley and a Porsche (I think). Was great fun, and whilst it was meant to be a gentleman's few parade laps, turned out into a full on race! I have looked for any video footage of that day on U tube but to no avail...... I was told by spectators that the noise my Countach made was v loud (guess thats the sports exhaust) when I went through the spectator stands.

Looking forward to attending my first LCUK event anyhow......

Not too many Lambos in our area unfortunately; there are a couple of Gallardos that are often spotted but I don't think they're members on here. Might be worth popping a post on the South Coast forum, I know Diablo Pete and P101 are both from the Portsmouth area so not too far.

Those videos brought back happy memories. I recognise virtually all those cars from the Carrera Sport Supercar Test Days that Mike Pullen used to run at Goodwood. And while I was looking at them, I stumbled upon this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U4RW65cfbE&fea... which features the Countach in question during its time in Hong Kong.

Hi, I didn't know that was on you tube! As you can see, I was the only "gwailo" there, together with my wife to be.... The Countach was quite a novelty as at the time there was only my one in the club and I knew only of 4 others in HK. Now however, a few more have been imported (I guess from the UK.) I know also that certainly last year many Gallardo and Murcielago were exported to HK as they were a lot cheaper to buy. Lambo HK, which is run by Kingsway Cars (who, in my opinion are useless) were not happy as they were loosing out on many sales.

Brilliant. I have an address for him (from the Registration document) which was in Orpington. I have written to him there a few days ago and waiting to see whether the letter is returned at all....as probably that is out of date now...
The new log book is being sent to Mike Pullen today/tomorrow so hopefully he will be able to update it for me and fill in any blanks. Still no clues as to who the original owner is as Ken bought it in 1995.....

Received with thanks! Have sent a letter to that address on Saturday, so hopefully he should have received it. Not sure if he uses email, but I included my email address too. Will keep posted developments on this forum anyhow as the search for the history continues!

Finally got my Lambo back this afternoon from Emblem Sports Cars. All seems in order and guess should be after all the work Tim has put into it! Looks fantastic, especially with the refurbished wheels.

Slowly piecing the history together, many thanks to everyone who has written in. The service book will be heading to Mike Pullen in the next few days. After him, its off to Lambo London (HR Owen) as well as then Lamborghini Reading (Jardines).

Still no ideas who the original owner was before ken Floyd......

The letter I sent to Ken Floyd at the address I had for him in Orpington has been returned with comment that he moved 10 years ago.

If anyone knows any address would be appreciated so that I can write to him to try and find out some more.

Thx.

The owner of that yellow 5000S is, apparently, very tall, so he struggles to fit in the car as well as he might if he were shorter - can't say I remember him being that tall really but I do remember the car!!
I would say he is about 6'4"
