The Dream Rides was the best part of the show, I stood watching the sprint, blast, or lets scare the punter to death straight away, start of the ride......excellent entertainment.
Do you need any special insurance to take your car on these rides, hire & reward etc? I am considering doing it for future events with Sporting Bears.
Hats off to the guys who were working yesterday, everyone came back with such a grin.

i was going fairly sensibly down the acceleration strip outside the NEC, only thing was it had been spotting with rain, so as i came around the bend and accelerated the tail of my 456 went sideways. Rather than panic i kept my toe down, caught the slide, the caught it again when it kicked back the other way!

only dissapointment was that my 3 mates who were there were not watching, dont suppose anybody caught £175,000 worth of ferrari heading sideways for the crash barriers at 70mph??

I was standing outside, watching the cars sprint down the car park on the way out of the NEC, and a guy who was standing just behind me, who had just been out for a ride with Flasher, said to his mate "that guy in the Yellow TVR is a Psycho". He did have a big smile on his face though.
He had obviously been scared shitless, as he was off to change his underware.
Nice one Flasher, you must have been the best value item of the show, where else can one have so much fun with ones clothes on for £20!!!

interesting to see the cars go down the strip, loved
the lambo only having to use first gear, lots of traction and not much wheel spin

Flasher did a great job- he was going non stop for both days ; I just did today and I'm knackered.

Don't know how Bennno managed to get a Greek Miss World; all my passengers were male, 5-25. They all seemed to enjoy it, and one young guy didn't stop enthusing about it for the whole ride.

Took me a while to learn the route as well, and I owe Flasher my thanks for 'showing me the route' at maximum attack... Also owe him my thanks for his antics when I was doing an interview for that ITN film crew doing a series for cable TV. Driving his car 3 inches past my head right in the middle of it was good, and not at all off-putting. Neither was standing behind the interviewer making that gesture. You know, the one where you show someone how to shake up a bottle of coke

Everybody wins. Damn good day.

Saw both of you Flasher and Benno! Love the Yellow on your Tamora! The look on a small boys face as you pulled in summed it all up for me!

Did anyone see the Porsche Boxter almost stack it into the gates as you turn out of the first run? Or the Viper vs. Elise?

Wish I had my car cos I would love to have done that! Were you paid some compensation for petrol or time or was it totally voluntary?

PS. Best car on show was the Lamborghini Miura. My dream car!

Great looking collection of cars in the dream rides corner yesterday, most of them already booked up by the time we got there BUT I got to ride in the car of my dreams, the lovely Miura, what a treat! That car is just gorgeous, and it felt and sounded great, too.

Saw you getting into your Tamora, Flasher, but couldn't really shout across the barriers to try and introduce myself. Respect to all the drivers who played fast taxi all day - but then, as Henry the Miura's owner said, it's a great excuse to go out for a razz! Seriously considering joining up.
