Fairly straightforward. I have had a very large number of supercar-owning personal friends for years, for various reasons; this allowed me to start the event in the first place. As time has gone on I've had increasing numbers of referrals sent my way and numerous direct requests to participate. With an eye on the standard of cars expected and consideration towards a wide variety for the public display - which means I'm OBLIGED to be choosy - some are accepted and the event evolves year on year.

Best,

We hope so too.

On that note, there are contingency plans in place to deal with the worst of the effects of potential waterlogging in the parking fields; as it stands today it looks like the fields will be improved a lot by this week's good weather, but there may still be some areas we have to fence off. Hard-standing/concrete parking has been secured in the local area to offset this, and signage will be in place in and around Wilton.

In any case: Pistonheads parking is not expected to be disrupted. Just follow the signs!

On which note, is everybody on the list yet?

Premium is still probably the preferred option, especially since you've paid for it.

As many as required, basically. We just need to keep track of numbers to ensure we allocate a big enough area.

So no need to prove entitlement to park there? I assume it will be just park whenever you arrive rather than grouping PH cars by manufacturer or anything?

Do we follow normal car park signs?

At Sunday Services you normally just tell a bloke with a clipboard your username. Not everyone knows what car they'll be bringing on the day, so don't worry if you turn up in something different to what you signed up with.

Can't imagine it'd be much different from that system...

I'll let J confirm that however.

One more question Jaykaybi - we was hoping to follow the convoy down to Wilton House, where do they meet up?

Hi, I'm afraid I deliberately change this year on year specifically to avoid picking up followers. Nothing personal whatsoever intended, it's just about keeping a large group together and organised, and safe. And under the radar, so to speak.

Two years ago I got a little lost on the way and just happened upon the convoy! What an amazing start to the day. I was a little concerned I was ruining people's pictures though with the car I had at the time. It went something like this: F599, Murcielago, Noble, Astra 1.7DTi, Gallardo, etc... wink Oh and having a £160k Lamborghini behind you kinda makes you focus on your hill-start technique!

P.S. For anyone debating whether it's worth a long journey, there is no question. I've done an 8hr round trip to it and this time I'm staying over the night before. Compared to a MPH style car exhibition at £45 minimum this is an absolute steal, not to mention it's all for a good cause and you get to see the cars in action up close and personal. Book your tickets!
