Really really hope the weather holds out, still coming no matter what (got the tickets already) but would be nice for it to be sunny for a change. Going on the Sunday this year.
I follow motorsport all over the country and it's been dry about two weekends since March wink

Was quite interesting listening to the driver briefing last year (wasn't a driver). You got lucky with the Police letting you use the road that was shut ey biggrin

Sorry whistle

Looking forward to it.

I'm probably tempting fate but it's been nice here for the last 2 or 3 days, well I've driven into the office with the roof down which is my definition of nice anyway. I'm 40 miles away being Wirral/Liverpool based.

I recall Aintree last year with the Sporting Bears where it genuinely seemed like the middle of summer yet people I spoke to who lived just down the road were getting horrendous rain. Let's hope the same person looks down on us and cuts us some slack in the name of charity this year thumbup

Hi there,

I would like to ask huge favour of anyone going to the Pageant of Power this weekend.

Can you please get some good action shots of the Jaguar XJR-15, and XJ220 Martini race car that is at the event ?

I shot the XJ220 a few years ago and have not seen it again since.

http://www.dunlopix.com/XJ220%20Martini.html

Always like a good pic of the XJR-15 as well.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Tim

Just back. Good event, shame about the weather but didn't spoil things too much. Award for best free cup of tea to the BMW stand!

Just got back. Weather was abysmal but what a great event.

Seeing certain cars in the flesh just re-inforces how much you like them. Being able to get up close to a One-77 and seeing it being spanked around a track of sorts was great. Award for best noise goes to the E30 M3 rally car, absolutely stunning sound.

Amazing to see an XJR-15 and the Martini XJ220 as well, shame the 15 didn't run round the track but the 220 was quick and loud.

Wanted to find the owner of the 15 to ask for the chassis number but he was nowhere to be found.

To everyone going, once you have passed the display cars, watched cars and bikes on track, tank battles, helicopter and stunt planes in the air and marvelled at the power boats,

pop along past the military area tank to Lodge Corner where

Sporting Bears Dream Rides will again be offering you the chance to donate to Childrens Charity and we will take you out for a 20minute Sporting Bears Dream Ride along the Cheshire Roads.

Previous years we have always had a great selection from our members who volunteer their time and petrol clap so EVERY PENNY OF YOUR DONATION go to the charity, so make their day worth while, from a Lotus to a Lamborghini, an Aston Martin to a X-Bow, see the cars, book the cars, enjoy the cars.

Parked in a field with long grass, so at 3pm when I left, it was no problem to get out. Take wellies however!
Felt a bit for the guy in the Carrera GT when he stuffed it in to the straw bales.
Have a good one!
