I practically followed you all the way there in the Blue 540i. Lovely looking (and sounding!) car you have there. Thanks

The 12C was built to show off parts available from their MSO department, basically a side to McLaren that can modify your 12C to whatever you want in order to stand out from the norm.
Bespoke stuff included all the extra carbon fibre items such as the bootlid, spoiler, bonnet, interior items, the internal trimmed roll cage, bucket seats and harnesses, wing vents, different front bumper and special finish wheels to name just a few.....
The seats are actually off the shelf Reccaro items. The rep was saying it was prohibitively expensive to redevelop their seat for the harnesses for the low volumes they will be sold in through MSO. Certainly comfy however, thanks to the man from MSO for the chat and the chance to sit in a dream car for me.Bespoke stuff included all the extra carbon fibre items such as the bootlid, spoiler, bonnet, interior items, the internal trimmed roll cage, bucket seats and harnesses, wing vents, different front bumper and special finish wheels to name just a few.....
This was my first PH event and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was my first car event in a while and was refreshing to meet people wanting to show off their cars, and not hide them behind velvet rope and do not touch signs, no matter the value of the car. So thank you also to those of you who brought down those cars that are a bit special and let people have a proper look, or a seat.
My pictures have already been posted by my friend as I was unable to earlier but heres a re link http://www.flickr.com/photos/themaninthesuitcase/s... and I also did a blog post highlighting some of my favorites http://www.cpearson.me.uk/2012/10/a-look-at-some-f...
I certainly look forward to coming to more, and hopefully in my own car once I am able to drive it there.

Anyone get a picture of my yellow Elise next to the Porsche Cayenne, that was parked next to it. I just like the comedy value of how small it looked.
That reminds me. Does anyone have anymore pictures of the two Lotus Sports Elise parked next to one another. The Black one with Yellow stripes looked great. Steve

I'm so gutted I got there at 11am, I stepped out of my car only to see my dream car (Carrera GT) leave!! Its like my unicorn!
Some great cars there though, particularly loved the Ford GT's, and that tiny Honda z car! Also I didn't realise the Typhoon front was so pumped and steroidal compared to a 'normal' Tuscan! Looked amazing!

I was, however, a little disappointed by the conduct of some PHers at this Service.
It was disappointing to see many drivers speeding up and down the long approach road, along the back road (after the PH team asked to hear some revs, next to the AMG circuit), and sometimes even after the 180 degree turn back toward the parking spaces... not only were there people around in that area but we were also specifically asked to keep speed down.
Indoors I saw some people touching the few roped-off display cars, such as rapping on the bodywork of one of the DTM cars; and what I believe was the owner of one particularly expensive MR2 in the car park CLIMBING OVER the rope and opening the door of another DTM car! I think that's the height of rudeness especially considering so many of the cars were unlocked and signposted as welcome for viewing or sitting in - only a handful were roped off and even then the ropes were very generous allowing you to get right up close to the car.
Perhaps a little better conduct next time, PHers... I know it's only a select few people letting down the rest but you'd expect respect considering we are all petrolheads here.
