Gah! Why oh why is this on the same weekend as the Cholmondley Pageant of Power?!
I really wanted to go to both this year, now unless I do some serious miles on the Sat night I have to choose.
Aren't there enough weekends in the summer, so that you can split them?

We had to avoid Goodwood and Le Mans and make sure it was in a month when the weather would be kind to us (or at least half a chance anyway) and avoid the holidays when everyone is away.
So basically.....it was this weekend!
anyway what are serious miles to a petrolhead?

I'd like to be a ticket for sunday but do you have to have a supercar to buy a ticket
Same question here. The ticket link implies that the ticket is for people showing their cars. I'm quite impressed with our Corolla Verso but I'm not convinced it could draw much of a crowd!! Dalto123 said:
Bachi, have you got a volunteers thread going yet? I'll be there!
I will set that up in the new year chap Sconch said:

Finally, we'd prefer if you didn't spread the link to non PH'ers as it is a hefty discount and the charity deserves all the support it can get.
Merry Christmas everyone!

As I professional photographer I volunteered my services free of charge last year with all images taken offered free and commission free ....
To facilitate this, I think I wrote asking for a press pass about five times .... I didn't even get a reply from the any of the people I emailed!
In the end I turned up with all my gear and photographed few of the either PHers cars and sent them free images instead!
Maybe this year someone will have the manners to reply?
Steve, thank you for offering to volunteer last year, and apologies if the guys at TCT didn't get back to you in time as they were extremely busy.To facilitate this, I think I wrote asking for a press pass about five times .... I didn't even get a reply from the any of the people I emailed!

I would like to correct you on two points though, I had an email conversation with you on Feb 27th from 10.29 until 15.28 where i told you i was not in charge of the photographers but put you in touch with the right people.
Also in your mail to me you simply requested press passes, no hint of the offer you made above unless it was contained in your conversation with the trust which i did not see?
Then on March 14th at 11.01 you mailed me chasing it up as you said you'd not heard from them.
At 12.37 on the same day I mailed you giving you the direct phone number and then emailed you an application form at 13.18 after i got the Trust to mail me all the documents in case people contacted me instead of them so i could help out.
I copied the contact at the trust in on those mails and when i didn't receive a reply from you i assumed you had simply confirmed with them directly. So to say you didn't get a reply from anyone at all is not true.
It may well be that some replies were not as quick as they could have been, but then that's why we are supporting a charity free of charge, the same reason you volunteered; because they don't have the money to spend on resources that would make this admin much smoother.
Personally i think spending money on the care of kids instead of on admin staff is a good thing, but the knock on effect is that sometimes things either happen slower than one would like or slips though the net.
So please volunteer again this year, your services would be very gratefully received, the photos look great. However perhaps it might be worth taking into account that we get snowed under with requests of all kinds for this event and do our best to get to them asap. Also, that 'manners' are very much present within the organising team along with 'patience' and 'understanding'
Hey Bachi, you are right in stating that I spoke to you (via wmail) regarding a pass and you informed me you had nothing to do with press passes.
My comments made earlier were towards the people or department that were in charge of this department. (A lady called Ruth I believe). These were the people that I emailed on many occasions without a reply. Unfortunately I didn't receive any paperwork or application forms for this event.
This event is all about raising money for the trust. When I was younger I spent many weekends with my brother and father taking the children on outings around the local streets. ( I believe this was organised by Banstead Round Table?). It was my memories of this and the fact that I have lived either around the corner or locally that I offered my services. I don't as a rule offer to work for free, but this is an event working to raise money for a charity close to my heart.
I would love to contribute to the next event, but I am now unsure where to start ...

In terms of contributing for next year.
Email me on the same address as last time and I will take care of it.
How's that sound?

However as myself and some of the other organisers are long standing PH'ers we decided at the start of this event that we would extend the same deal to PH'ers and create a sort of 'Sunday service' on both days.
So, it doesn't matter what car you have you are (as a PH'er) eligible for the special offer and we will arrange for (assuming numbers are as we expect) for a special PH section of the club car park so when you buy the ticket can you put PistonHeads in the area where it asks you for which car club you belong to please?

Thanks for the clarification much appreciated, I would lo e to come and bring the family, especially as the youngest daughter has cerebral palsy so it would be good to see what the charity does etc, only thing is though there will be a diesel s max parked in the piston heads car park! I'll get have to get a piston heads sticker! These tickets are normally reserved for Sports and Classic car clubs.
