It is the first R56 I had seen in the flesh; love it .

I was in an R53 GP, though not one of the duo parked near the bottom.

It was my first Sunday Service, so I felt very lucky to be a part of it, especially with such a wonderful array of cars

I thought it was very impressive to be honest especially considering the tyres it was on. Only got a couple of pics I'm afraid.

Thanks to Garlick & all the P/H guys for a great day out. As i drove to MBW from South Devon it was a especially super day for me. Im a little disappointed with the moan about Supercars. Ive been to the Wilton House S/car meeting for 3 years & ABSOLUTELY love them.

I need to remove the "ground anchor" tow bar, join a club and get it off-road. Chuffed that it came with 4 nearly new General Grabber ATs but I have a couple of minor things for the supplying dealer to sort-out this week.

Evenin' all Just wanted to say a mega thanks for a top SS to all PH staff, volunteers and M-B World! I wasn't even planning to go, but I kinda found myself in Greater London and somehow remembered that there was a SS that I initially couldn't go to as it was too far?! (before any go mental, I parked in the M-B World car park).

We will soon sort you out with regards to getting it muddy! They are seriously good off road on normal tyres thanks to the stunning TC, ABs amd HDC systems; yours with those grabbers will be excellent. I am looking to put them on mine soon when the current OE tyres wear out, but I am downsizing to 16" rims as my 18's are way too harsh on the crap roads where I live.
As for the towbar, I wouldnt be so quick to remove it. The plough design is much, much stronger than the other, cantilever designs (not including the US-spec reciever hitch which is technically not legal over here), and whilst it will keep grounding out off road, it is stopping you grounding the rear bumper or bottom rear wing corners on a steep departure (have you seen how flimsy the bottoms of the wings behind the rear wheels are? look up inside them...)
I am somewhat jealous of your light guards though, I want a set but at £200 or so for a set for a few bits of plastic, I cant justify it

The hipstergram filters on the picture somewhat disguise the fact that it is plastered in mud, topped with a liberal coating of puddle spray from the hoon

I can't wait to get started; I'm just trying to figure-out which "essentials" I should carry in the vehicle and if I need to do anything to it so as not to wreck it when I do take it off road. I'd like to try some 16"s to see what difference it makes (maybe buy some and stick MTs on, keep the current wheels for daily driving?).

To be honest, I was thinking about fitting a HD rear bumper and was looking for one that "wrapped around", such as the one from Rovertym.



- I'd rather get some protection on there than tear it apart like in this video (skip to 2:10)!

When I went to view it, I noticed that one of the rear bumper light lenses had a crack in it and the guard was broken; they replaced both before I took delivery but I didn't realise until afterwards how much they are!

Had a great time at the show, even if I did bring along what's probably the dullest (and quite muddy) car of the show (Skoda Superb!)

I noticed somebody taking photo's of the cars coming in by the first roundabout. Who was that?

I haven't seen much written about this lovely looking Ford! Love the understated looks, with the wheels a hint as to it's potential. If the owner's on here, they could fill us in with a bit more info.
