Superb SS. Thanks PH and Mercedes for organising.

I do however hold you liable as I now need to buy a new exhaust for my Monaro for more V8 noise!

Nice one making my car look clean smile surprised anyone found it tucked away at the end, I turned up a bit late.

Impressed with the turn out, some superb motors on show, forgot how good the M3 CSL looks, the blue RS4 was also stunning.

T'was a very enjoyable day.

Great to see such a wide variety of cars and got chatting to quite a few people. Museum interesting and can confirm MBW's bacon sarnies are top notch.

Love the thunder from the AMGs on track too.

Did anyone get a photo of my Superleggera as we drove away? Would be interested in seeing if you did.

Super SS once again.

MB World did very well for us.

Popped over to Brooklands Museum in the afternoon to see the biggest gathering of MX5's I've ever seen!

Museum is brilliant too.

Looking forward to more Sunday worship smile

PS - Any snaps of the blue Evora S? smile
Is the blue Evora the replacement for your red Elan? I didn't get any pictures, but blue Evora was one of favourite cars there!
Evora is new to the fleet, glad you liked it! I still have the Elan, between Littlegreendevil and me we have 6 vehicles and one Formula Junior race car in re-build... Think we need a bigger garage! biggrin

They are some awesome pics of my f12 - have you got them in high res that you could mail over? Was a great event (my 6 year old loved it almost as much as me) - nice to go somewhere and not get abuse for being a w***er in a white ferrari but be with like minded petrol heads!

My mate and I really enjoyed the morning - always a good event at MBW, and the weather was much better than predicted. Thanks to all the organisers.

It was also a nice idea to sell off the surplus/old stock of PH t-shirts for charity. I picked up a brilliant E30 M3 shirt for a couple of quid - a bargain, and for charity - everyone's a winner.

That S63 AMG they were using sounded broken after a few laps. Sounded like it needed some attention.
Yes, after 30-40 minutes it sounded like a brake heatshield or something rubbing when at low speed, but it disappeared when then thing was up to 'operating speed'. When you think of the abuse the brakes were taking to slow two-and-a-bit tonnes down from 100mph lap after lap it's not suprising something maybe warped or expanded that much.

My and the boy opted for a passenger ride in the S63 as it seemed like the daftest option that we could both go in. The upsides were the ludicrous incongruity of the speed and luxury, but there was a slight downside of hardly being able to hear the glorious motor getting caned.

The other reason I picked it was to quiz the driver on the difference between the S63 and the S65 - a helluva difference according to him - which surprised me.

After all, of the main manufacturers only Mercedes seem to say "Hmmm, twin-turbo V8 with 577hp - could do with a bit more, maybe?" and lump a V12 in there.

To hear him talk about the S65 really having "seamless power, anywhere in the rev range" when being piloted in a car which, by any standards, displays exactly that was a bit odd!

Shows how much those boys (and girls) are spoiled by their profession. Not jealous at all. No, definitely not...

Thanks to the PH team for another great MB SS biggrin

I was in two minds about coming given the poor forecast, but glad I did as we missed most of the rain and got to catch up with a few old (some very) faces and look at a huge selection of cars – top morning.
