RE: Silverstone Sunday Service 11/10
Discussion
Gutted I didn't book a track session but as I'm driving to Holland on Thursday I decided to stick on the side of caution
Brilliant day though and some awesome cars always, worryingly for someone who isn't a massive Porsche fan my top 2 cars of the day were the red Cayman GTS and the purple GT3 RS. Sadly I'm a long way from affording either.

I didn't spot me, but then again i don't think i was far behind you
To the guy in the White evo 5 in our session though, please please look in your mirrors next time, you were 'that guy' which was mentioned about in the briefing as you held up a good few up including me, doing the trick of dead slow through the corners especially Becketts and then booting it on the straights.
Dude, you should be grateful that karl was there to make look like a driving god infront of the lady you was trying to impress. To the guy in the White evo 5 in our session though, please please look in your mirrors next time, you were 'that guy' which was mentioned about in the briefing as you held up a good few up including me, doing the trick of dead slow through the corners especially Becketts and then booting it on the straights.
Infact ive requested karl comes along to my next one so i look good/fast

Not that I know of. If anyone would have had trouble, it would have been that Porsche. Seriously loud that car!
Yeah I had my doubts about passing the noise limit and thought I'd been black flagged at one point, but went in and they said it was meant for the car behind me that had been driving inconsiderately or something. The marshall quite enthusiastically egged me on and told me to go and enjoy myself some more. Was ace!Think they were being a touch lenient with the limits seeing as the sessions were so short. Heard them talking over the radio about the speciale which was around 103 /104 dB but to just let him get on with it as the session was nearly over. Think they take a very fair approach to these things, which is lovely to see.
I'd like to commend the drivers in the 11:20 intermediate session. Slower cars were using mirrors and pulling over to the right and indicating. Faster drivers waiting for the straight to pass. Orderly and good mannered in my humble opinion.
There was only one incident when I wasn't given quite as much room as I'd have liked, but only a minor observation that was corrected next time around.

Did you manage to get the Blue Impreza on camera? Not sure if we crossed paths...
Here's my video from the 10.45 novice session. On board blue Focus ST. https://youtu.be/k33zSXZL6FYApologies to white evo for overtaking twice close to corner.

Anyone get any footage of the 11:20 session?
I'm going to trim down the footage I've got, I'm going to upload a clip of the Ultima, and anyone else that wants to see their car from our point of view.
Yes please - would be fun to see myself on track. - Red Noble.I'm going to trim down the footage I've got, I'm going to upload a clip of the Ultima, and anyone else that wants to see their car from our point of view.
My son captured the whole session on GoPro, so I guess he'll be uploading the edited highlights too.

I concur (& hope I wasn't the offender that didn't give you enough room!). No issues with the driving on the 11:20. There was the odd occasion when it wasn't completely clear if I was being let through or not, so I was tentative in passing in those circumstances, especially where it was technically into the braking zones, as folks moved off-line.There was only one incident when I wasn't given quite as much room as I'd have liked, but only a minor observation that was corrected next time around.
With a mix of abilities, experience & car performance, it's never going to be perfect, but I think the event is very well judged. I like the idea I can pay £40 and have a 30min run, then call it a day. I don't want to spend (and won't) £200+ on a full day event, where the risks and car wear are significantly higher. I would agree that maybe a "First Timer" session would be a good idea, so that the track newbies can have a slot all to themselves, then the rest of us who have some track experience can split off into Novice & Intermediate groups. Should do the job nicely

No problem, I'll upload it this evening. It was nice to meet you the other day, car looked awesome out there!
Make sure you upload it to PHTV - if it's good we'll feature it on an upcoming show too. (in which case you'll win goodies!)http://www.pistonheads.com/tv
