I wonder if anyone has done j o groats to lands end during the 1st lock down like the cannon ball record set in USA in May? Common theme there seems to have been a real lack of police on the roads which is something we know was not the case in the UK during lockdown

You’d have to do it on false plates obviously....big risk if you do get stopped!

Gone are the days when you could do this sort of thing. They were great while they lasted but alas, they are no more....unless you’re completely mad! silly

Nah I reckon there is still scope for it. A decent radar scanner to pick out the operational gantry cams and traps, Waze for police reports and a decent route plan. From Lands End through to Bristol you're looking for traps, that section of the M5 around Bristol with gantry cams, then you're clear until around Worcestershire/Birmingham where the top end of the M5 is gantry cammed. M6 is crap until around Preston when you can really open the taps and once you cross the border you've just got to outfox the notoriously wily Scottish Plod.

Not that I am planning anything of the sort...
