Was a great day out. Thanks for organising it. Also thanks to REVO for bringing there A3 and doing passenger rides. And also to the PH chap with the Clio thanks for the ride.

All in all a great day just slightly let down by the lazy tossers who couldn't be arsed to put their empty cups in a bin and just chose to leave them to be blown all over the place. I was one of the last to leave and the car park was just as bad.
Poor form chaps

It's not up to much but I tried to get the 2 Evos in the same shot.

You needed to draft the grey car.

Ah, sorry, I think I only got a glimpse of you after the checkered flag at the end of the vid. We must literally have been at opposite sides of the track the whole way through.

Few snaps of my Trophy at the end of the morning, had bags of fun. First time running track tyres and was blown away with how capable the Avon ZZRs are, filled me with confidence and felt so adjustable/predictable through the corners. Thanks to all who came along!

Thanks again to Pistonheads and Silverstone for this instalment of the SS calendar, a great array of cars and WOW you guys! The photos are incredible! I apologise in advance I didn't get anywhere as near as the quality of the ones I've seen on here, and I thank the snappers who got photos of my white GT86 in the paddock.

The album for this SS can be found here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/andyliuphotography/a...

How did you find the drive to the circuit and back, was grip an issue at all?

Nope not at all, not even when I left home at 5:00am at -1! Obviously I was being sensible and they're a bit noisy at low speeds, but they are just for track days for me so I won't be using them every day. Avon are working on a harder compound of the ZZS which I believe will be more suitable for everyday and wet use. Will be getting my hands on a set when they're available to see how good they are!

Nice to meet you both!

And here are the few pictures I took! Not my usual standard but I'll blame the onset of frostbite... and laziness. The Full album is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jasoneaston/albums/7...
Some good pics of my Westfield in there - thanks! I've downloaded the full-res versions, hope that's OK?

Thanks for that Ben, I am starting to do some research on what could replace the Parada Spec-2's (also quite noisy) on my Impreza. Which is a weekend car, with possible track excursions in the future, hopefully you will make a feature or news item comparing the ZZR that the ZZS once you get your hands on some.

Interesting. I was on ZZRs and felt the front and rear tyres gently sliding through Woodcote and Copse. My theory is that a heavier car gets the tyre temperature up. The other option is that I wasn't working them hard enough.
