Please excuse the rattling of my coat hanger during heavy braking biggrin

Coat hanger?????
Sorry to appear a pedant, but did you here the briefing item regarding loose items in the car?
It's mechanically secured

If you're going to be pedantic at least spell correctly.
Also a rattling coat hanger does not mean necessarily that it is a loose item in the cabin.

LOL thank you , It always raises a smile. i was going to come in the CSL but cups and those temps made my decision for me. I was going to go around silverstone track in the spur but i dont think under braking it would do too well !

Great Sunday Service btw. Loved the lightweight track cars and that peppermint green GT3 and 420bhp Octavia sleeper .

Apologies, I'll stand corrected. I had visions of something hanging from a grab handle.

Great Morning and thank you for all the nice comments about the Integrale, it was nice chatting to quite a few of you.
Loved the Mint Green GT3 my favorite car of the day! Also to all the guys out in the first session, very brave, the 2 guys in the E46 M3 looked very quick and the sound of the Type R's with their V-tecs was awesome along with V10 of the E60 M5. Thank you Pistonheads and Chris for all the great pictures.

Thing is until the briefing we all thought we were the going in the 3rd session so there would have been a couple of earlier sessions to help dry the track abit! But yes we were very brave laugh and those M3's were quick yes and the clio running with wasn't too shabby either!

[quote=chungster]...noticed a white M3 getting a bit close to a RS4 on the home straight. Yikes.

I was in the RS4 and yes it was a bit close, the Ferrari driver in front was going at his own pace (which is fair enough). I'd been sitting back and was just starting to pass on the straight when the M3 came blasting through.

To be fair he was driving quickly and could drive but he had no idea if I could or not!
If I had stayed on line it could have become messy!

It was minor thing really and overall the driving standard was good. I do agree with some of the comments that the briefing was a bit vague on the rules and trackday etiquette.
Even experienced trackday veterans could do with a reminder that we're there for a bit of fun.

All in all another great Sunday Service... Thanks PH!

Sorry I went past you. As I was approaching quickly under throttle, I made the decision to go past quickly as you moved over to the right. I felt it was safer than to brake hard to match your speed and go off the racing line. I was prepared for you to veer left, as there was sufficient runoff to my left and straight ahead.

Mexico Blue! Thought it was a little different to Riviera!

I have a drive by video I'll throw up tonight of the noise on the pit straight...

No problem mate, as I said it was obvious you knew what you were doing. It probably looked worse from the pit wall angle... anyway all's well that ends well!

Copse at speed in the M3 must have been interesting, I was struggling for grip and traction in the Audi!

Think this was the porsche that came pretty close to me mid-spin as I was exiting the pits...was a little disconcerting but can't grumble as I span myself a lap or 2 before!
