Ignore those times. I'm sure Ollie will be along to confirm in due course, but it'll likely be an 8:30 kick off and mostly wrapped up by 12:00. All final times will also be confirmed in the email that'll get sent out to all attendees a few days before the event.

As I live less than a mile away, I will park in the public car park and leave others to take a space

They do qualify that by saying live racing during their open hours....
IIRC there was a competition last year for some lucky PHers to get to watch the race live at MB World - who knows if this may be offered this year?

The 2015 F1 title winner is in one of their cars after all.......

I'm in again. My MR2 will be looking a bit more respectable this time with a brand new windscreen! I overheard two chaps moaning about the crack at Silverstone, YOU try getting a 90's import windscreen in a hurry rolleyes

Where is the list to confirm attendance? This usually fills up instantly.

I'm in. Have been to Brooklands before but never really looked much at the Mbenz world bit. Is there a museum / anything Mercedes ish to look around or is it all just outside?

I recall seeing people spinning SL55 AMGs at walking pace on a low friction surface while we were there, but is there anything else?

I see the museum at brooklands is open too. Has anyone been here? Is this worth a trip to after the Sunday Service?

In all my visits I've never been to Brooklands Museum. Might need to include that in as well...

I actually prefer it to Brooklands, I'm no MB fanboy but it's free, lots of cars to look at and you several displays per day. Kids love sitting in new cars too!

Will this SS be subject to the new "one strike and you're out" rules? smile

Hi Ollie
At a SS like this which is based at the site of a Brand/Manufacturer and the parking is an easily accessible area, can there be a parking area for Mercedes and AMG's nearest the building so they can displayed together. Easily done as it's just cones on the tarmac and a quick count of Mercedes / AMG cars can be done from the list on Friday?
Then if you are particularly interested in the featured Marque you don't miss anything and if you're not you can walk on past!

At the last Sunday Service at Bruntingthorpe:

James Drake said:
Please ensure you do this before tomorrow if you're not going to make it - the joining instructions go out tomorrow, plus people need time to organise their weekend.

Nothing annoys me more than people who pull out on the Friday or Saturday before the event!!!

In fact, it annoys me that so many people put their names down and then don't turn up full stop. We're getting and increasingly big disparity between the number of people who turn up and the number of people on the list, which is really unfair when there are so many people on the reserves list.

So from now on we're going to be taking a register at the gate and non-attending members will have the ability to sign up to events removed from their profile. This will undoubtedly cause a queue to get in, but it is the only way we can solve this issue as too many people are being selfish.

The register we take will be a freeze-frame of the attendance list at 9am on a Friday morning... So in other words if people haven't removed their names by then and don't turn up then they will no longer be able to attend events. After a few events like this we'll be getting strict and will be moving this deadline to Thursday and eventually Wednesday.

I hope that this makes sense, but please let me know of you have any questions. Please keep in mind that we are only doing this to allow more people to attend the events we work hard to organise.

Thanks
JD
