I won't be taking the Indy Matt, unless the weather is really good. I'm not sure I could nurse it through the noise test. It is LOUD, The focus is going to get it though!
I'll have a look at the afternoon sessions, cheers. There was space in the first inters session but I don't think the focus is quick enough for that.
Are you taking the fez or ginetta? We are going anyway, I will come and find you mate!
Shame you're not bringing the Indy but atleast you'll have a radio and heater on the way down All being well i'll be taking the Ginetta I'll have a look at the afternoon sessions, cheers. There was space in the first inters session but I don't think the focus is quick enough for that.

If it was earlier in the year I would have used it. This time of year it is torture! A heater will be very welcome. Excellent, it would be good to see it! Is it making an appearance on track?

They have to be signed in, attend the safety briefing, and wear the appropriate wrist band.
That's fine. Mrs wants to ride shotgun on my 10.10 sesh. Not sure what time the briefing is, but we'll aim to get there in good time.
Is it free or is it £10 does anyone know?

I guess that even though the calendar list is well oversubscribed, if I were to book a 09.00 track session I would be OK?
Bob
Here you go...Bob
"The gates will be open from 0830h and the Sunday Service will run until about 1300h. We have space for 500 cars on top of those cars going on track so there's no excuse not to come along! Please make sure though that you register yourself on the Sunday Service calendar even if you're going out on track."
What's the crack with insurance? I've just read the terms and conditions on the Silverstone website and this is what I have found:
"The participant shall reimburse Silverstone the cost to Silverstone for the repair of damage to the property of Silverstone including the circuit or any part of the property (which for avoidance of doubt includes the catch fencing, safety barriers and safety vehicles) caused by the participant, servants or agents or any person in his/her party.
It is a condition of your participation in the Activity, that in the event of accident, loss or damage occurring during such Activity you will not pursue any claim for damages against any other participant (save in respect of injury or death)."
So does that mean that everyone is on the track at their own risk, and the only thing that you will have to pay for if you stack it is damage to the circuit?

Does anyone know what the deal is with spectators? I will have the kids with me so don't want to book a parking space, if any left, as will probably only be there for half an hour. Will we be able to park trackside and watch for a bit and or talk a walk around the car park?
Cheers
Everybody has to sign up. That means everybody.Cheers
Please forgive the rudamentary scribbles, but hopefully the map below will help. The red area I've marked is the Sunday Service parking, with the green area being where the cars going out on track will park in the paddock.
I've put a red ring around the BRDC grandstand, which should be open for anyone to access. This is a really good spot to take kids to sit and watch the cars coming down Club Straight. Copse is equally popular, but there's no seating on the inside of the corner and the visibility isn't as good.
Note that this map is the GP circuit, but we're running on the National. So don't go and sit at the Hangar Straight!

A reminder to anyone thinking of just turning up – you do need to sign up to the event so that you're sent the windscreen print out on Friday. Without this, you might not get passed the security gate at the entrance.
There's plenty of space, so don't worry about taking up a spot even if you're just calling in for an hour!
