RE: PH Sunday Service: Aston Martin St Athan 09/04
Discussion
8am arrival time also a big issue for me and my mate - arrive by 8 means getting there earlier in case of delays along the way so means setting off at 5am the latest. Also slightly concerned that I can't dash back in case of family emergencies as we can only leave at 2 set times
- Edit - just read on previous page that 9 is OK - maybe a new e-mail is on order as was just about to remove myself from the list

I'm sure in an emergency they would allow you to leave at anytime - Edit - just read on previous page that 9 is OK - maybe a new e-mail is on order as was just about to remove myself from the list
Having two leaving times is just there to cause minimum disruption to the airfield, by stopping people coming and going as they please.
Can't believe this event is now UNDERSUBSCRIBED - don't think I've seen that happen before.
So ironic that all those people panicked at the thought of it being an 8am start when now it appears to be back to 9am. I hope some people checking on this thread will get a nice surprise and come and join us anyway. Sign up before Friday people!
Thanks again to Jack & Co at PH for their hard work in trying to hold this event together. Hope you know that most of us appreciate you and hope we get a good turnout on the day
Edited to say currently 19 places free on the list!

As I've said before, they need to find a was of keeping Sunday Service events at the top of the home page, with updates on things like arrival times, and whatever questions are being asked in the forum. That way, people who didn't sign up on the assumption it's full would jump at the chance.
Perhaps some of the effort put into ruining the mobile site could have been put into doing this.

Dropped off the list, CBA to get there for 8am and going to watch drag racing instead
Jack's stated 9am will be fine...So I dropped off to free my space up for others.
I don't want to get up at 5am and drive 3 hours into wales
Don`t understand the confusion on access. If we have to enter the camp through the main gate to cross the runway, what about security. I`v been to the camp on business & you can`t just drive in with out being vetted & receive a pass.
On the Aston Martin Owners Club invitation it says access through a dedicated Aston Martin gate which is passed the camp gate & therefore no need to enter the camp & cross a runway.
Needs clarification.

AM have informed me that because the site is on an active MOD base, we have to adhere to their many rules and regulations (timescales included). I believe that you're right re entering through the dedicated Aston Martin gate, so we won't have to worry about security getting in (just remember your invitation which will be sent out tomorrow), and departure is across an active runway hence the leaving slots. On the Aston Martin Owners Club invitation it says access through a dedicated Aston Martin gate which is passed the camp gate & therefore no need to enter the camp & cross a runway.

Hope that explains a little better.
