Do tunnel runs and the like still go on ?

I remember joining in a couple of these in days gone by, tooling around in suitable hardware, very early hours on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays, but no one seems to do this these days. We even bumped into the Top Gear crew early hours on Easter Monday vaguely taking liberties in central London. Is it a thing of the past ?!

More cameras in tunnels, and the fact that most performance cars these days are four bangers that are going to sound pants whether in a tunnel or not probably part of the reason for the decline.

I still indulge in tunnel tunes when I can

Yes they do still happen. We've been trying for once a month on a Sunday morning. Yes it's been cold and dark. Yes London is busy and we've lost some of our fav tunnels but there are many tunnels outside the M25.

"Terror in the Tunnels" is still a frequent event around the East side of London.
