Thanks pistonheads for arranging another really good Sunday service, my children really enjoyed their first visit to Santa Pod and watching all the cars (including armoured car and two bubble cars). As already said interesting to see just how fast some modern cars are; 8yrs ago my mr2 turbo running high twelves was considered fast. But today would have been towards the slower end of cars there and beaten by plenty of hatches and saloons.

An excellent Sunday service, just as good as last year's. Particularly enjoyed the super fast Skoda and Audi with what appeared to be a shotgun for an exhaust!

Second SS I've attended and loved it as did my 12 year old son. Cars in every size and shape and interesting to see how manufacturers have upped their game with factory spec performance!

Its my 924 above which turned 35 2 weeks ago - a good blast to Santa pod was its birthday present :-)

Great SS as always, very impressed with the performance of most of the cars taking to the strip and always reminded of one of the reasons why I love cars, the camaraderie we share with one another. Considering most of us are mere strangers with the same passion, it's great that people are so willing to stop for a chat and share experience.

Here's my pictures of the day;

My personal favourite too

Cheers to the PH crew for a great SS *Raises a glass*

We had a great time shaking down our little syndicate subaru track rat.
Not sure which is more surprising, the fact it held together or the lovely weather!

I was unfortunate enough to line up next to that Skoda Octavia. Completely blew me away! byebye
Its AWD with a tuned 1.8T +Nitros kit. Something like 400HP! He was a quality dude too, hats off to him. What a sleeper biggrin

Great ss as usual! Love going pod especially when the weather is good and the que is so short!

I was in the white m140i quite happy as still on runflats and got 12.3 4 times and a 12.2 near the end of the day!

Good to meet and chat to plenty of people aswel!

Well I'm pleased we proved entertaining to some in our little bubble cars!

Most annoyingly I have a bad clutch which caused gear change issues frown My final run finally beat the Blue Heinkel but the crowds were lacking at that point!

Good PH event as always and a fab turnout, loved the Ferret armoured vehicle, quite possibly slower than me! biggrin

Great to speak with a few folk too.

I'd appreciate any pictures and videos if willing to share, got the 2 posted YouTube clips saved, Thanks!!

Pity we didn't line up together. I was in the white m135i. My best time was 12.6. I take it yours isn't standard?

To the PH crew, great event. Just my second SS, but will be sure to come along again.

Ah, I'm in the background of the bubble cars too, right hand lane behind the blue one too biggrin

Ran a best time of 14.79 @ 93 mph, which was pretty good going considering the last time i struggled to get low 15's.

I had a good chat with the owner and a couple of other guys with Nobles, and was lucky enough to sit in one and get a good look around, very tempting! I believe its around 500bhp.

Sorry Blipi I just about managed to beat you! I went out for a second run and failed to clock though, as I'd left it a few hours all the hub and gearbox oils had a chance to cool down again and it felt very sluggish in comparison to the first run. If I could have a go straight after a nice long drive on the road I feel fairly confident I could lose a second or so off of my original time. A great day out, thanks PH
