Good idea, although anyone staying over the night before could maybe take their car down to the point at an agreed time during the day so we could get the awesome shots of all the cars lined up and ready to go?Sounds like there's a few doing it on the 21st this year. PremierInn at A30/Fraddon has a room spare - I have just had to cancel mine!I might have to replan my trip - I now have a funeral to go to on the Tuesday and not sure if I am going to be able to go on the 21st.
It is possible I might do the Saturday instead, but we will see how this week goes.
I'm doing this on the Saturday 24th with a few friends
we'll have my vw golf mk4 gt tdi,
a 98 ford fiesta with a 1.7 engine swap,
mini john cooper works
an e36 bmw 328
and..... something else, not sure what hes driving.
First time we've all done it, I'll definately be doing the A303, then i think A12

I do want to do it on the 'proper' night but family has to come first.
My route is as yours, but clockwise around the M25 past Heathrow etc.... not sure which may is best - always thought it was further around the bottom.
Looks like maybe rather a lot of people doing this on the Saturday?

Me and Mike 77 are doing it on the 21st, I was going to stay the night before but not having anywhere to stay after 11am is a bummer so we're driving down during the day. Also any ideas in terms of routes? I'm thinking A30, A303, M25 round Dartford way and on from there?

That's awesome Sypher hopefully see you there! Will be driving down from Sutton Coldfield on the day too, will probably leave for 11/12ish and then make it down for 4 so get a few hours rest in the car before the main run!
No ideas for a name - hope you manage to get your family stuff sorted and then hopefully make it out! Think the proper day gives it a much better kick to it

I have a suggestion
Meadery restaurant in Newlyn
Chicken and chips on wooden plates it's quite well priced and we would then make a good place to meet and chat would anyone fancy this? As at Lands end there is not much going on

....Meet at 5:30 Long rock near Marazion.....

I propose 6:30 at Newlyn Meadery for food,they serve fairly quickly simple food but a great atmosphere. Parking is Street outside and there will be enough room.
A great place to meet at 5:30 would be Marazion car park very easy to find and as regard to photographs you won't get better.

Looks like that might be an issue. Otherwise it'd be perfect. As above, we're rolling down some time in the afternoon so it'd be good to have a base of operations for a few hours.
