RE: British GT Sunday Service 11/06

Great day out once more at a Sunday Service!
Had a moment when the OH lost my spare car key - fortunately a member of the public had handed it in!

I left early, but really enjoyed a few hours wandering the paddock, watching racing, admiring cars, and chatting to fellow PHers and friendly racing drivers.
A few pics...
Sorry my council blue Focus behind ruined your shot of the magnificent yellow beastie.. A few pics...
Many thanks for organising a great SS, Silverstone always seems to deliver.
Those Bentley's in the GT race were epic!! They looked huge compared to some of the other cars, you would have expected them to be at the back of the pack but they were absolutely flying and the noise was like thunder, brilliant spectacle. On the noise front they were closely followed by the Mercs, the Astons, the Lambos and one of the Ginettas also sounded really good too, brilliant stuff.

Well done and Thank You PH for arranging tickets and a SS at Silverstone today.
I took my kids with me today and we throughly had a great time with lots to do and see.
The sound of the Bentley and Merc GT cars down the pit straight was something else The Supercars doing a couple of laps didnt do a bad job either.
A couple of my fav pics from today below - unfortunatley I stuck my ugly mug in the picture of the red Enzo so I'll leave posting that one up!

Thanks to all who organised today.
Saw the 2nd Bentley spin off and bin the rear end on the tyre wall at Copse.
And scoop up a ton of gravel when dragged off.
Possibly the last PHer in the car park at 6.10pm.
No sooner had I parked up and a fan of the silly Fiat came over to chat about my journeys n stuff.
I don't get out much so that was nice.....

saw the Bentley flying off backwards too as I walked back to Copse. Great day, although I did get tickets in Supercar park after I'd enquired what was going on last weekend and then took myself off listAston Zagato looked great apart from the rear lights which looked like they had come off a 1950s american car
edit had a look at your car too in the park, it's been on a few tours..... (as I'd noticed on way up as passed you on M40 on way up in black AMV8)

Really enjoyed this one, had a crack at the Caterham Drifting which was fun. My red Golf R was parked next to my mates GTi. I was the one using his touch up paint on my road rash at about 8:30 (the local council have been "dressing" the roads on my work commute).
My face is feeling the burn today from the fierce wind and sun. It's obvious I was smiling most of the day from the crinkles in the sunburn.
Thanks PH for a great event, really enjoyed this one. Hung on until about 3pm and watched most of the main event, love the sound of the Bentleys and AMG's, as well as the rasp of the Astons. Great day, will be up for this one again next year, with suncream next time.
Parking was a bit higgledy piggledy, not very well thought out. Didn't seem to be anybody marshalling on the actual car park, unlike the supercar paddock and other areas.

Forgot to ask if the GT86 is the new go to PH'er car. They were very well represented on Sunday....
If you read the threads on here about 86's that can't be the case - they're far too expensive / slow / sales disaster, etc ??I’m in the 20% that found them expensive from the dealer.

No you have 20% of people worship them and 20% who say expensive and slow and 60% of people who couldn’t care less
I’m in the 20% that found them expensive from the dealer.
I have thought about one but never really seriously...suppose that puts me in the 60% then, although couldn't care less is a bit strong lol.I’m in the 20% that found them expensive from the dealer.
