Very good event couple of small niggles though...

1. Chatting to a couple of guys in the restaurant who were confused when we were talking about lists and reserve list. Seemed one of them was told by their partner who works for BMW ‘just turn up it’s fine’
So he knew nothing about pistonheads and didn’t know it was a limited number of cars allowed. (To be fair he was very embarrassed, but was in by that point)

2. Slow clap for the silver M3 who absolutely planted his foot to the carpet when leaving... while still within the compound with people walking around. Very Slow clap for you, everyone around me vocalised ‘tt’ or similar/worse. Save it for somewhere with no kids walking about.

Other than those things (both completely out of Pistonheads control) it was a top morning. The new M5 is a proper sleeper of a car (end an extremely comfortable one too).

Thanks Pistonheads and thanks BMW

Nice event, free baps/coffee were a nice touch.

New M5 left me a bit cold, e39 was just lovely by comparison.

Cheers PH

Thanks to PH and BMW for another enjoyable morning. Nice food and coffee are always an added bonus. I hope that they don't mind the 760iL being tested to destruction by my youngest, the teenager suggesting that it would make a good family car!
I might be mistaken, but it didn't look as busy as last year to me. Is there any way of knowing how many on the list attended?

Thank you to all the organised. Now why did I turn a job down at BMW UK IT Dept frown

Shame BMW weren't selling items.

Nice array of cars and got the mind thinking for 2018 to replace a boring 135i

New M5 didn't like I'm afraid, but then I generally don't like anything big.

Was a good morning. Enjoyed seeing the generations of M5 lined up.

As someone wandering round with a small child... bloke in the M3 blatting across the in road was a right turd, everyone else well behaved.

Thanks PH and BMW UK smile

A big thank you to BMW and Pistonheads for today's SS. It really is kind of BMW to lay on the morning and to bare the cost of staffing and catering the event...

Porsche GT's apart, am I correct in thinking there were no 'supercars' in attendance?

The dodge challenger was super cool, Lime green lotus Elan best in show for me...

bowtie Thank you! It was a great morning, even if there were a few too many BMWs in attendance ... wink

Lime green Lotus Exige S would have been my choice to drive home in. biggrin

I'd guess nowhere near 300 as there were well over 100 spaces in the multi-storey carpark at 10.30 when I went as far up as the cars were parked
