Just had a look at the long list and thought I might get abused for not bringing a BMW along!
So I've removed myself, to make way for an M2. I'll park elsewhere and wander over.
Doesn't matter what car you drive. Saab, Kia or Caterham, everyone is welcome. So I've removed myself, to make way for an M2. I'll park elsewhere and wander over.
And as for the Fiat owners making up their own Sunday Service rules, well...
Email has just been sent all, remember to check your spam if you can't see it
Great to see people offering up spare seats. I'll be heading over in the mighty Duster from Coggeshall (Essex) if anyone wants to hop in, but as Ben says it will be painfully early (leaving at 6am) and for the whole day, too...

I don’t think anyone was making their own rules, just stating what they felt which was if your not on the list suck it up and go next time like many others probably do.
If PH are happy for those to attend on foot that’s great and I’ll certainly take them up on that offer for any event I don’t get in on the list.
And Ben can you bring some tshirts for us powerfully built directors? The last couple of times I’ve wanted to throw all my money at you but only smaller sizes.

And then Ben clearly stated it is fine for people not on the list to turn up on foot, nicely demonstrating that the comments suggesting just 'sucking it up' were, in this case, incorrect.
We could argue this point all day long. However as Ben has already cleaned this thread up shall we leave it at that?

I’m aware how Sunday Services work, but this isn’t turning out to be a normal Sunday Service is it. For obvious reasons, it’s proving very popular with the BMW drivers among us and there are a considerable number of them still stuck on the reserve list.
Look, this is just my opinion, but due to the circumstances of this event and not owning a BMW, I thought it reasonable to give up my place in the carpark and walk in. In all honesty, I’d have felt a little bit silly parking my chav-mobile amongst hundreds of BMWs anyway, but perhaps that’s just me.
The other way of looking at it is I’ve foolishly forfeited a free breakfast.

I’ve got to say I’m surprised how many BMW’s are on the list. Last years event I didn’t feel my civic was out of place at BMW but as you highlight I do feel I’ll be in the minority. A separate point maybe to discuss on a new thread is the amount of non posters on the list......
I’m glad PH put these events on and were very lucky to attend these great venues and Of course the variety that this generally brings in the car park.

Trust me, the last thing BMW owners want to look at all day is another bunch of BMWs: We'd much rather look at other metal that's a bit different!
That’s my view too. I’m a member of the Abarth owners club and they seem obsessed with meeting up and looking at everyone’s identical cars, I don’t get it myself.

Yes! The Lotus Europa sticks in my mind from the last BMW SS. The sense of entitlement among some BMW owners (or even ex-owners) on here is embarrassing. Anyway, looking forward to Sunday, see you all there.nicholasm said:

Yes, a valid comment and the main reason why PH Sunday Services are so good. However (and admittedly there aren’t many), there are cars on the attendee list which you wouldn't pay any attention to on the street, let alone at a car event. I know, I know, that goes against the PH philosophy, but it shouldn’t be applied here when the event is so over-subscribed and in particular when members can still attend, but just park elsewhere.ecsrobin said:

Well there you go - and Abarth owners are not alone. That is sort of my point!. Gassing Station | Events & Meetings | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
