Pass has arrived thumbup car is clean, weather looks dry!

I'll be getting on the M4 just before Leigh Delamere Services and will make a pit-stop for a strong coffee. Roughly an hours drive from LDS. If anyone is heading that route and wants to convoy across, very happy to meet at the services car park for a 0800hrs departure to Bracknell.

What’s the chances of gaining entry to this event if i’ve ‘only just’ (e.g last on the reserve list) signed up????
Not planning on show n shine-ing, just visiting the event.

You can enter on foot but not in your car.

If 90 people drop out then you're in. If not then not much chance.

There's no show n shine btw,I'm not washing mine and no prizes are being awarded.

I'd get the most stickers prize if there was one.

That’s what I expected and all’s good, but what about parking etc? Is there any?

I'm thinking I might head up tomorrow and grab a local travelodge instead of doing there and back in a day?

I was thinking of washing the car but I've got 240+ miles to travel so might not bother.

To be fair if you’re not within walking distance then I doubt it’s worth it. It’s one of the smaller Sunday services with only 100 cars and Honda I believe aren’t showing anything off that’s new other than a fuel cell and I doubt you’re excited over that!

Car is nice and clean, certainly not looking for any prizes! It was caked in mud from parking at Brands for the BTCC last week, plus I wanted to make an effort as it’s the first time I’ve got to one of these things.

My car decided to start an intermittent boost issue on Thursday, I should still be able it though, my son and I are very excited!

I didn't manage to leave this evening and the cheapest hotel wasn't. Instead it's an early night and heading off at silly o clock. I might hit the jet wash on route I guess? smile

Enjoy your early morning start. At least the roads will be quiet.

Good idea. Slightly disappointing though that people sign up and drop out so close to the event. I noticed “vtecbwah” (sp?) was 101st on friday a check yesterday evening he was upto 84th!

Maybe a solution would be to send a reminder email out on the Monday before then the final one on the Friday.

I don't think all people drop out intentionally, was really looking forward to seeing the new NSX & civic but mechanical issues needing to be fixed. Although last minute drop outs are still an issue its much much less than before where people would just sign up & decide on the morning to no show.

Hope all do enjoy though, looking forward to some good pictures

It's funny how many cars have spectacular breakdowns the weekend of the Sunday Service events. Who knew cars were so unreliable, and save their problems for the same time?

With an event with only 100 spaces it is a real dick move to be holding up your space until the very last minute.

Unfortunately people will always take the piss as long as these events are free. A charitable donation or something would probably bat away some of the selfish twunts who book themselves on as soon as the calendar goes out and don't take a second look until the day before.

Four people have dropped out since that screenshot was posted 7.5 hours ago. If any more than 80 turn up I'll be surprised.
