RE: Honda Sunday Service 08/10

It's funny how many cars have spectacular breakdowns the weekend of the Sunday Service events. Who knew cars were so unreliable, and save their problems for the same time?
With an event with only 100 spaces it is a real dick move to be holding up your space until the very last minute.
Unfortunately people will always take the piss as long as these events are free. A charitable donation or something would probably bat away some of the selfish twunts who book themselves on as soon as the calendar goes out and don't take a second look until the day before.
Four people have dropped out since that screenshot was posted 7.5 hours ago. If any more than 80 turn up I'll be surprised.
I make it 7 drop outs since 22:30 last night, including some long term well established members, poor form. With an event with only 100 spaces it is a real dick move to be holding up your space until the very last minute.

There should be a reminder email on the Friday to all those on the list.
I'm just home (516 mile round trip) and have to say I was a little disappointed at numbers. Definitely the least well attended SS I've been to in recent years. That said, there were some very nice cars. The Noble, classic red NSX and blue 911 were my personal favourites.
I had good fun driving up across the moors though and the run back included a bit of a play with an Audi hatch of some description. I think I'll wait for BMW HQ before I attend another SS though.

A weird one for me - had an unplanned and very late arrival, somewhere closer to 1130, and almost no-one left. A least the coffee van was still open and able to have a good stare at the Honda wares.
We got there at around 0915 and cars were starting to leave at 0945!!! No where near the 100 cars limit - plenty of spaces unfilled which is a shame as plenty of people on reserve list.
New NSX is nice. Never did appreciate how low the original NSX is! Getting in must take some skill.
Thankyou to Honda UK and Pistonheads for another good morning, as expected numbers were low so maybe this needs to be looked at (maybe a pre warning email a week before the event to try and weed out a load of people?) obviously quite a few cars on the reserve list that made it didn’t attend but if you don’t know you’ve made the cut you’re not going to attend.
Great to see the heritage fleet and also the modern fleet of Honda. I can’t help but feel the quality of the steering wheel controls is lower on the civics vs the rest of the range. Was Greta to speak to the Honda team about their lawnmowers I want both now!
Whilst numbers were down I found I spent my time speaking to a lot more members than I have at previous events.

That was my red Noble it's not for sale but if you're interested then feel free to have a good look round it at the next ss.
Cracking looking car! As a fellow a Mountune owner I was curious as to what it may have been kitted out with, given the Mountune badge? Sounded bloomin' fantastic when you arrived.I thought it was a nice meet, a first for my son and I and we had a great time and really enjoyed seeing some great cars from Honda and other Pistonheaders. Thanks to all the organisers for your efforts, much appreciated!

Thanks very much, the nicer sound is thanks to a company called BCS who do great exhaust work. The engine is a 3L Ford V6 (as found in the ST220) but built by Mountune using forged pistons, different cams and other small bits plus it has two t28 turbos bolted on.
