Yes but they'll need a helmet and probably a wrist band?
What he said! Passengers can sign on for free, where they'll get a wrist band to go out with you. Helmet are compulsory and can be hired at the circuit.

Haven't been to a SS for a number of years, Would be my first on a motorbike, do I need to book a spot and are the print-off things in operation?
Bikes are generally an exception, so don't worry about signing up. I'm sure we'll find somewhere for you to park it!

Fantastic, cheers guys. I thought this would be the case but I just wanted to be sure. He already has his own helmet so thats not a worry, just wasn't sure about the wrist band.

I think I know the answer to this question, but are drones allowed?

I imagine a drone is not suitable at any car meet as you cannot keep good seperation from people, vehicles or buildings out of your control.

However from the Silverstone website:

“Only bolt on mounting systems designed specifically for the purpose and not suction or other temporary mountings must be used. Under no circumstances must Helmet Cams be used. Drones are also expressly forbidden.

Squelch911 you’re in I can’t guarantee I’ll make it so I’ll step down.

I’ll know on Saturday if I can make it so hopefully a few drop outs.

I can no longer make it along in either car (moving house over the weekend!), so I have removed myself from the list.

I hope that's not classed as a last minute removal! wink

Fingers crossed you have some good weather.

Cheers
Peter

Just a quick question as i've received my notice from Silverstone about track time.
How does the Sunday service time work out as we've been told we need to sign on at 8am for the Briefing at 8:20am? sleep

Will we simply arrive before the PHSS technically starts?

Yes. Track people get in earlier. I was there at 7am last time. They run briefings all day though so if you’re on a later session no need to be there crack of dawn.

What if you're arriving with a mate that's not going on track? smile Will the PH Lot be happy to let a few early birds park up?

Would anybody like an intermediate track slot at 10:10? Due to my spine not playing ball, I'm unable to drive again...would appreciate it if the slot was used! PM me and we can sort the details! Thanks folks!

Is there anyway of parking up outside the circuit and walking in, or can you simply not get in if you don't have a spot?

After some errrrm? "exchanges" on another SS thread, I'm ears on this subject.

Curious to see if this warm and fuzzy welcome for "off the list" attendance is quite as warm and fuzzy as it's been made out to be.

After all...
the PH announcement header said:
Obviously there will also be the normal Sunday Service aspect of it, with no track time - and for that we have 500 spaces (but no limit on people, so feel free to bring passengers!). Get yourself signed up to the calendar here to secure your space. As usual, please only sign up if you're 100 per cent sure you can come, as taking up a space that you don't use is seriously frowned upon. And just for the record, removing yourself from the list at the last minute doesn't make it okay!
...with no mention of parking for additional vehicles that wouldn't be 'participating' in the day's PH SS activities.

I'll put £10 on the table and say that by Saturday you'll have dropped 85 places. If not then tough titties. You win some, you lose some.

On some of our events this wouldn't be a problem as we've mentioned before (like Honda), but because we are in Silverstone's grounds, there will be no additional parking available - 500 is our limit, so unfortunately if you're not on the going list then you won't get in!

Is it not possible to cancel?
I was hoping to cancel my slot as well.
