Going to be first time on the track with my old man, we're looking forward to not getting in anyone's way and seeing some amazing cars!

The bad news is, being first on the list means you have to buy everyone breakfast! I'll have a full english please.... biggrin
Those are the rules... Pretty sure I heard somewhere that number 1 has to replace the first set of tyres that go kaput too?!

Been looking forward to this coming on to the calendar, always a good event.

I was keen on a track session but now I find myself hovering over the button. Every time I've been the track has looked very crowded, and being one of my first times out I'm a little nervous. I've got a full day booked elsewhere in a months' time so debating whether to just spectate and leave it until then scratchchin

Click that button! Its a perfect starter track session. 30min goes really quick and you'll now know what you're getting into with that full day later on.

Helmets are usually available for hire. You’ll need to have your arms and legs covered. Needs also to be a full face lid if your car is an open top.

Track time booked over here. To all those dithering-just do it. No better way to dip your toe in the water!

On a far less interesting subject what catering offerings will be available? yum

I am up for any sort of grub, but Mrs jingars is planning on coming and doesn't really do the "fried stuff inna bun" thing.
This has to be about her only failing, though wink

Helmet hire is available if you don't have one. Full instructions will be sent out ahead of the event, but all you'll need to sign on is your driving licence.

Crikey, 425 people registered already! WOWZERS!

Glad I booked on early smile

Got some track time and this *should* be the first outing of the new RX. Fingers crossed, otherwise I'll be hooning about the track in a 3.0 TDI allroad! lol

Another point on this is that Silverstone have lowered the number of cars out on track from 35 to 30, so there will be fewer cars on track than usual smile

Did PH get anywhere with discounted insurance?

Where before I took the <£4k 540i out with an Exige, although far better suited I'm very worried about binning it and couldn't stomach the (uninsured) cost!, especially seeing the Civic last year

Thanks for all the info guys, very helpful!

Just one more thing, how much rubber will a person go through in 30 minutes on track?

My current tyres are probably 1-2k away from needing a change before I get a winter set on, just wanna make sure they'll last the distance!

That is hugely dependent on driving style, track condition (wet/dry/hot/cold) and what car you're running
