car things to do in Osaka Japan

Visiting Osaka for a few days with work in a few weeks and looking for something car related (obviously) to pass the time on a day off.

Ideally I could hire a JDM legend like a skyline and take a trip up the touge passes with the sun setting behind me.

More realistically, I would take a trip down to the local Japanese car park to take pictures of the youths battered Nissans.

But if anyone can offer any suggestions or advice that would be great.

Don't think you'll find much 'Tokyo Drift' over there as most folk are very law-abiding and conformist.

I go to Kobe/Osaka occasionally and don't see much of motoring interest although I did take this pic in front of my Hotel a couple of years back;



I found a day trip to Kyoto to see the shrines/temples more enlightening, that and the food...
