RE: Goodwood Sunday Service and track day 16-17/12
Discussion
Have just got back from the track day and as you say - it was quiet. Had to wait for 10.00 to start because of frost/ice on the track but from then on it was great, perfectly dry, nice lunch and only one spinner to hold things up.
My car was massively over the noise limit (first time I had been to the track with it and it is only a K series!) but working with the noise guys had a full day and just needed to stick to 6000 revs and short shift through St Mary's. They could not have been more helpful.
Great day, loved the track, really pleased with my car which felt like it could do it all day despite being nearly 20yrs old so thanks to Pistonheads and to Goodwood - well organised and very friendly.
Will be going tomorrow as well but the car will be very dirty!

I was at the track day as a spectator & absolutely enjoyed it.
It was the first time I ever went to a quiet track day at Goodwood. But at least it gave me a chance to chat to some of the participants & relax, as well as take rather a lot of pics! Shame I don’t have a computer where i’m Staying this weekend (Butlins Bognor).
Can’t wait for the Sunday Service tomorrow!

Just a heads up for anyone not too local
If your coming westbound along the A27 towards goodwood you’ll come past fontwell after the last roundabout around 2 miles later the road drops down and banks right and then climbs you’ll have trees on your right blocking the view of the opposite carriageway. As soon as the trees clears there is a centre part where the camera van loves to sit. By the time you see it it’s usually too late. Typically out on goodwood events etc.
Always worth just backing off so easy to forget how fast your wafting along.

Another great morning from Pistonheads, a good turnout but very cold. The only downside was Goodwood only providing the NAAFI wagon for food and drink so a big line appeared.
In other news I think a few members need to check their tyres, a few close to the limit and one car with chunks out the sidewall.
And this is everything I love about Pistonheads:

Same here, thanks to Goodwood and PH for putting this on,bit colder than I thought it would be,50 miles drive top down with screen wash freezing on the screen early doors.
Took a similar pic to eecrobin a mad camper, something grey and an orange Gallardo.
Some more.
Who doesn't love a Monte,on 18" copies of original 16s.

Bit weird fingering other peoples tyres?
It wss a good morning out. I hit a pheasant on the way. Luckily it didn't cause any damage.

Eh? I had a lovely cooked breakfast in the cafe. It was really quiet in there too! In other news I think a few members need to check their tyres, a few close to the limit and one car with chunks out the sidewall.
