The South Downs, especially the West Sussex side, is quite a distance from Kent. smile
My bad, somethings up with my geography today! - Assumed they extended across to Dover - my bad smile
How did you manage to forget about that dead flat expanse between Eastbourne and Hastings: Pevensey Marsh?
And the even bigger one between Rye and Folkestone: Romney.

Morning all,
This is shaping up nicely, we have a handful of people up for it!
Drafting our first meet up, we're looking at Sunday 21st Jan.
8am start, so you can be back with your families at lunch if necessary.

If you have a playfull RWD, drop us a line!

Probably too early in the year for me and my pampered Elise! Hopefully there'll be a subsequent warmer, drier one. biggrin

Why would the South Downs be an issue? confused
If the weather isn't all that, you appear to have a Disco... wink

I've expressed an interest in this too weather permitting. I could take the defender if the weather is bad, although it'll struggle to keep the same pace weighing twice as much and being around 300hp less!!

Hi there,
Our first meeting will be on the 21st Jan, in East Sussex. Isn't a little stretch from Newbury way ?

Perhaps we could start a splinter group for a more westerly Berkshire bred - I’m on the west side of Reading.

What car have you got?

After a thread re-read I see, MX5.

South Downs is huge

I live on the western end of the Downs and I have a friend who lives on the eastern side. To follow the A27 all the way along takes about 2 hours+.

I also used to commute the widest part wickham to Alton a great drive and that’s a 45min journey.

Indeed. Therefore plenty of scope for future events after the inaugural one next month. smile
My earlier post was in response to Cats. Surrey is strategically well positioned in that respect.

I'm off the chart at the opposite end in Kent, so it will take me around that long to get to the start on 21st.
The same is true for any event outside my home county. A bit of a pain, but that's life.
