Seems like everyone had a great day who went in the end, I admittedly was turned off by how wet it was, though i did venture out after around 2pm to go have look around see if anyone was still around. Though i hope everyone still had a good time and i hope there will be a summer session this year, otherwise i'll be doing Traxx this year. =)

There was only 488 people left on the list this morning; I got into the 500 on Friday night, but as there was no further e-mails out, I didn't get a badge, and I imagine no-one below me did either (that's 60-or-so PHers) as well as a few ahead of me. The guy on the gate couldn't have cared less about a list; all he wanted to see was a PH badge. No badge, no entry. People got turned away as a result, which is a shame.
That's really unfortunate to hear some people were turned away due to not having a badge. I would've been disappointed to have travelled there for nothing.

I remember when I went to Ferrari Racing Days at Silverstone in 2014, it turned out PH happened to have a Sunday Service meet on the same day in one of the car parks. I tried to get in but was of course denied entry for not having a badge on display... But that was perfectly understandable because I wasn't on the list in the first place, unlike yourself, and I had no right in getting in when others had signed-up for the meet beforehand. In the end I parked the car elsewhere and walked back to the meet. biggrin

I was there. That was probably one of the best Sunday Service meets ever!

It does seem a bit jobsworth considering the car park was half empty for most of morning

I was in the black 996 which spun on the warm up lap in the 10.10 session spin

I was at the last Sunday Service at Silverstone last year and I had so much more grip - I don't know whether it's the new surface or the fact my tyres are practically down to the legal limit - but this time I found it so slippery.

It was still great fun and I enjoyed being able to explore the balance of the car on the limits. Wished I had booked a couple of sessions, it would've been nice to get more practice bringing the lap times down!

I saw another car spin further on in the session and what happened with the red flag at the end? Was it to recover the M5?

Don’t suppose anyone got any footage of the 9.00 session did they?

I had Michelin Cup 2 tyres on and I really struggled with grip on the corners. Didn't seem too bad getting the power down but certain corners (particularly, I think, Brooklands which seemed to have standing water throughout the 9:35 session), the tyres just didn't seem to bite. I'd love to feel the contrast on a dry track...

I was behind you in the red Subaru BRZ, was a very elegant pirouette from my view laugh Hope there's no damage on the car!

Grip wise I didn't find it too bad on AD08R's, usual understeer in the places you'd expect. Good fun though! Really enjoyed this Sunday Service despite the weather. Big thanks to the PH Team, Mission Motorsport and Chris T for this epic photos biggrin

My first track day and also my first Sunday Service this morning and I had a great time. I was in the green Volvo 850 T5 and struggled a bit in the wet (I did spin at Becketts in the 10:45 session - apologies to all!) but I had a ball out there.

Zero prep (apart from oil check) and cheapo tyres are a lesson learned, although for a 22 year old car I bought for £1200 and subsequently took to the garden centre on the way home I think she fared well biggrin looking forward to the next one!

So if anyone has footage of the 10:45 novice session, please put up a link smile

I was a couple of cars behind you both on the 10:10 session, and I also struggled for grip massively. It's my 3 series (320d) on Lihan's youtube video, which starts at the end of the 2 sighting laps. I was off line anyhow, and just slid. I wish I'd left my winter tyres on! There was a dry line towards the end of the session, but it was still dicey as hell.

My 197 was having some nice steer from the rear moments, felt really good though. Rain was certainly keeping us all on our toes!

Apologies for that, not my intention but very well avoided! smile

You don't happen to have a link to the footage do you? Would be interesting to play it back to see how I could have avoided/corrected

Hi so I recently joined this and put my name down on the list for the Sunday session yesterday. When I arrived I was turned away at the gates?

What’s the usual process for attending theses events please?
don't take it too personally - the silverstone employee at the gate was a pita with me too

Must have been the same person that was on the gate Friday, went along to watch the testing for a couple of hours to kill some time only to be told we couldn't go in, they then said we could but only for an hour and then they'd come find us and kick us out. My brother then came along and the guy on the gate just let him in! Obviously didn't like us hehe

My 2nd SS and 3rd time doing Silverstone national - not once has it been dry! I was out a little later than most, in the 14:10 session for those of you who stuck around - in this:

I've got some GoPro footage ready to go on YouTube from the session - if anyone has got any photos of my car then please let me know!

It always rains in Northampton! Even on hot sunny days at Silverstone Ive ended up getting wet from a passing summer shower.
