RE: MMR Performance Sunday Service 29/04
Discussion
Yes, very cold. But what a location!
Stunning aircraft all around and a fab new MMR building with generous, helpful hosts. Thanks MMR!
Good turnout too, despite the cold. Least it was mainly dry.
Our little Autobianchi scooped one of the best 5 with a great Meguires cleaning pack gift - thanks again!
PH SS Usually brings out a few extraordinary motors and this meet was no exception. Sadly, few pics taken but I'll try to post some up.
Who brought the Mad Max car. How on earth do you get to use it??!
The travelling Daihatsu mini van was a bundle of stories and character too.
Thanks to MMR, PH and all who turned out!

Went along yesterday and really disappointed with the whole thing.
Apart from a few cars on show inside and out, there wasn't any info on the products and services MMR offer. There just seemed to be a few business cards on a table, meguiars air fresheners and a rack of 3 naff looking alloys!
From what I could see, very little effort had been put into the whole thing from MMR apart from making money from crap burgers and tea!
Some nice cars turned up incl a couple of Nobles and a nice grey Lambo (and one of the worst looking GTRs I've seen ever).
Come on guys, you can do a lot better than that!

I wouldn't say I was disappointed with yesterday as its always good to go out for a drive and meet up with old friends over a pig roll.Apart from a few cars on show inside and out, there wasn't any info on the products and services MMR offer. I do agree that MMR missed a great opportunity to promote their business and show the PH community what they're all about, what they do etc. Only on the way out I noticed a business card and realised they do BMW tuning - up until that point I assumed they were a detailing company using Meguiars products
Thanks to all for organising and thanks to MMR for their hospitality and providing shelter from the weather.
Yes it was a grey day and there was a bit of a chill in the air but it was a thoroughly enjoyable day and our hosts for the day were informative and passionate about what they do.
Great mix of cars which is what I love about Sunday Services and the trip over to their workshop on the other side of the airfield was a real eye opener.
Bruntingthorpe has changed an awful lot since I was last there, I can remember the last time I saw so many cars.
Well done Pistonheads and MMR for a great morning out.

To all of you who made the effort to head to Bruntingthorpe on Sunday thank you very much, but I would like to apologise for those of you having felt disappointed. I assume you guys didn’t take the bendy bus up to the workshop for a look around our actual premises/ workshop at approx 11 O’clock. (Sorry if this wasn’t clear as this was mentioned during the thank you and prize giving just before 11) But those that went up would have seen some more of the brands we work with and more of our products we offer there.
Nothing from this event was to make money and the catering was Bruntingthorpe’s regular caterers, that are also used for Vmax events etc. It was purely just a social event as are most Pistonheads meets.
When Pistonheads looked at doing the event at Bruntingthorpe, we offered to display some vehicles and help organise the events building etc. Although it may have been misleading that the event was being held in our workshop as the event description came across. We only invited some of our friends and suppliers to accompany the Pistonheads attendees for a relaxed morning drive out with a coffee/ tea and a bacon or sausage sandwich.
It was never planned to be a sell event, only to offer some support from ourselves for fellow car enthusiasts hence the mix of different cars on display. We plan to have more specific BMW and performance vehicle events in the future that will include track time and certainly showcase more of what we offer along with our suppliers products.
If you would like to know more about what we do and offer at MMR , please have a look at our website: https://www.mmrperformance.co.uk/ You will find prices etc on their, but please get in touch for anything we haven’t yet listed at: sales@mmrperformance.co.uk
We have many of our own products in development currently, that will support our Software we offer and support the other products that we supply and fit.
For our more specific BMW events I would definitely get the BMW specific forums/ groups more involved, but this weekend that wasn’t our intention therefore us having not advertised it to the BMW world directly.
Thank you for those of you that came, we really do appreciate you coming on what was a cold and windy day. We certainly hope that our future events meet your expectations and although we have been building cars in this industry for years we look forward to starting to push our own brand and give off a little bit more of what we are about.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated and we have taken your comments on board. With that in mind we hope to see you at future MMR events. 😊
Kindest regards,
Max
