Can't wait for the event guys. It's about 25 minutes from me so that perfect. Hope to see a great mix of cars and people.

Sounds great Lee. thumbup

I went to a couple of the mid-week meets a few years ago and really enjoyed them.

Barring anything unexpected cropping up I'll be along - thanks for setting it up. thumbup

Grasshopper Inn? I remember midweek meets there, the carpark was full. Good fun, lots to see.

Looks like I can definitely make it. I’ll be bringing the yellow peril (corvette). See everyone there tomorrow.

If everyone turns up from the various places advertised it looks like we could have 100 cars, here's hoping 👍👍
Thanks everyone who has said they will attend. If this first event goes well with the managment then the potential is here for much better things in the future 👍

Wow. That's fantastic! Where else did you advertise this event BTW? I'm curious about the other people and cars that will turn up tonight.

Very enjoyable meet Lee, thanks for organising and nice to meet you briefly. Was the drone anything to do with you? Might be some nice footage!

Also, is this likely to turn into a regular meet? Really miss the PHSE meets, especially when they were bijou at the pub on Limpsfield Road...

Providing it doesn't rain for future events (potential stuck in the mud and all that) will you be organizing an event like this again at the same location?

Good little event thanks.

Nice mix of cars.

Only Downer was a Little kid throwing grass all over my friends car which wasn’t so good then followed up by kicking it and the car next to it. Strange behaviour. Don’t know where his parents were.

Yeah, that was me. Nice to have some company, as brief as it was.

Thanks for all the positvive feedback!

Yes the venue were pleased too it went off without a hitch, they are keen to do another. The sold 200 burgers!!! The venue is community members club and supports local charities so they were well pleased. Apologies for the queue at the bar at times, there was at one point 5 staff serving but the queue was out the door! All the people on the BBQ etc. were volunteers, but I think they thought I was half joking when I said I think I can get 100 cars and bikes....

I will certainly do my best to use the venue more, but 100% this will become at least an anual event. Next time the background music should be a little louder, more bar staff and more parking available ( the football pitch was not booked when we booked first, was a bit of a cock up ) maybe upto 200 cars. Also I kniw most of the local garages, like Abbey Motorsport and TJ Motors, they all do something different so maybe I can get them to sponsor a trophy each like best tuned performance car or best custom etc.

The "People's Choice" trophy went to the grey UR Quattro, the top 4 of Quattro, mini, racing e-Type and Consul Capri were only seperated by single votes....

Not sure who had the drone, but if the footage appears on the Oxted FB page I will link it here.

And honestly having organised a few meets in the past I can honestly say that was the best variety, quality and well behaved mix I have ever had the pleasure to get together. Thanks again everyone, bookmark this and I will post up when we do another there!

Have people managed to upload their videos and pictures from the event yet? Would love to see that drone footage smile
