That’s excellent, I’ll have a copy please… your account isn’t accepting emails though.

Also, if anyone fancies meeting up at Beaconsfield Services for the drive to Ipswich, we’ll be leaving around 7:15am, plodding along the M40, M25 and A12 at 65mph and stopping en-route for a coffee and a loo break.
May well get on board with this as I am in Maidenhead, Thanks for the offer. Just need to work out how I am meeting up with co-driver as he is in Chertsey.

Hi All,

(long timer PH lurker but don't post!)

I signed up a while ago, car number in the 90's but my co-driver has had to drop out - does anyone know if the place can be sold? (Doubt it can be cancelled!).

Kind regards,
Scott.

If anyone is interested, I've created a short road-book which my navigator and I are going to practice with this weekend. It's by no means 'regulation Tulip', but good enough to get the hang of using the app I hope and generally get a feel for it before Saturday week. The route is 18 miles and runs between Ruislip (NW London) and Beaconsfield (Bucks).

Example page below - one of three. Happy to share with anyone in the area who wants to do the same. PM me if you would like a scanned copy.

Not sure what's going on with email so just drop me a line on info@acbusinesscontinuity.co.uk and I'll revert

Vehicle substitution may be required - what do I have that’s small and agile

That’ll have to do if the dice are stacked against the big green taxi
I just had a bit of de ja vu moment....but about 4 years ago do you recall having a 'race' with a white Escort Cossie? I think on the a12 north of Chelmsford????

Shot in the dark but I mean how many Lotus Carltons are there getting thrashed biggrin

Hi Ben,

Did you manage to sort what insurance will cost and who with for the timed sections?

When will the road books be issued? - prior to or on the day?

Have I missed any other admin details?

Quite looking forward to it (hope the weather is kind)

Cheers

Mike

I have relatives in Chelmsford area but I don't drive quickly on the A12 as having lived in the area I know the Essex mob are quick to jump on stuff like that

The ABS club have a few cars in that area possibly one of them

Regulations don’t state what documents are required at signing on, and it will be a bit chaotic if everybody turns up at 8am, but given a starting time of nearer 11am?

I'm not expecting any documentation checks - the regulations state

Regulations said:
It is the entrants responsibility to make sure their car is taxed. All cars must be insured for the public highway.

It is the responsibility of the crew to ensure that they have adequate 3rd party liability road car insurance for any/all drivers.

Depends how big the car park is but I think that is the plan

Regulations said:
Signing On is from 08:00 until 11:00am with cars leaving from 09:00. Crews should
report to the organisers with all relevant documents identified below.
However no documents are listed - so I'm going with my previous and not taking anything - the car I'm using (see note) is MOT'd, Insured and Taxed and it can be checked on the various web sites if need be - unless the organisers or PH stipulate a requirement

(Note) The car I'm using currently has no wheels on it and sitting on axle stands so I have a bit of work to do biggrin

Cars will be identified by rally ‘plates’ to be affixed to the front and rear and side windows of the competing car.
Assumes stick on for windows and tie wrapped for front and rear but bearing in mind the range of cars it maybe stickers all round

No ones tie wrapping anything on the front or rear of my car so that could be an interesting discussion smile Removable stickers, no issue at all, so long as I get to stick them on lol.

Hi guys,

Bens back in tomorrow so I’ll ask him where he got with insurance!

I’ll also get some answers regarding the road books, documentation and sign on time smile

Cheers

Does anyone fancy driving the southern M25 section and A12 together on Saturday morning, meeting up somewhere around Reigate?

I'm finally back now, sadly! Although first day back at work is meeting up with Tony to finalise details for Saturday so not to bad hehe

I can see there are quite a few questions here so we'll try and go through these later to get back to you all. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask away but all should be clear very soon.

Final few spaces remaining

For anyone looking at the Wiki and thinking there aren't any spaces left, we've actually still got 12 as not everyone signed up has paid.

This is the real time list for those that have signed up and paid: https://mtc1.uk/Entry/PHTourOct18/EntryList.php

So for anyone thinking of getting a last minute entry in, we've still got a few final spaces left.
