Can anyone turn and just have a wander, not after track time ?
If the weathers ok, I'll give the 7 a run out....
Yeah, if you are in the 500 with an entry placeIf the weathers ok, I'll give the 7 a run out....
Sounds a bit pants really. I just fancy a drive and a wander round the car park.

Ive done that, what happens now ?
If you make the 500 list by Friday then they usually email the gate passes around Friday lunchtime. If you don’t make the list then entry is per car not per person. You may be able to park outside and walk in, and may even be able to get a lift in as in my experience most people come with only 1 or 2 people in the cars oldbanger said:

This is the bit I dont quite get - surely Silverstone would be quite happy to relieve me of some cash to park up ?
They don’t charge for parking. Last SS I went to at Silverstone the parking was in the paddock area by national pits, in th infield. The 500 car limit will be down to the max capacity of that parking area. The other car parks are all outside and a bit of a walk in. oldbanger said:

Then you'd be in and you'll get to do the PHSS with only a short walk to the paddock and then do something else cool on the day. And you'll have spent money.
Alternatively alternatively bring a car of super high calibre...... like an Egg or a Bugatti. They tend to slip the net as they are good for the crowds.
Alternatively alternatively alternatively bring a helicopter or plane. Less obvious than the above and you'll get to pay a landing fee and fuel. But, you'll be in.

I am attending, and am within the 500 cars on the list, however have had nothing sent to me or anything (i.e proof that i am on the list when attending). Whats the score here? (never attended one before!)

102db rather dampens things. A standard exhaust Ferrari 360 is 105, for example.
They don't do a static reading so you'll only get black flagged IF trip to db meters around the track.e30m3Mark said:
Anyone else heading up from the South West?
Are you driving all the way up on the day ? Could meet you on the M40 e30m3Mark said:
Had hoped to drive up Saturday evening but as I have to work, will be leaving silly o clock Sunday morning. (thankful the clocks go back an hour!) Could meet near Wendlebury where map says I join M40? (or thereabouts)
Mark,Off topic: The film on YouTube (Petrolicious) of MIG. is superb.
