What posses people to do these things

I’ve never understood these meets. I’ve seen plenty of videos like the one linked and can’t work it out. There’s no driving on decent roads or anything remotely fun. Just a case of driving down a motorway in a “convoy” with 10 of the same car to sit in a car park. Once there look at a few cars, drive like a dick outside then “convoy” back up the motorway.

To be honest can't be arsed with watching the YouTube video.
But guys instead of slating all the bad st how about organising your own meets with a drive out.
I have done quite a lot of meets and always had a good response for doing it.
Some times only 3 or 4cars turn up but a 30 min chat a two hour drive with a stop or two and finish with a coffee or sandwich. Great way to start a Sunday home by 12...

Ocassionally, one of these sorts of Facebook meets is held in a retail park near me at night and gets a lot of attention, as I don't have FB I have accidentally "dropped in" twice now, on my way to buy Feliway or a McFlurry, and the scene makes me feel very anxious/awkward. Most of the people standing around didn't even look old enough to drive, let alone own a car.


Still, I would be interested to know if the E36 M3 owner in that video is running a stock LSD ...

I stupidly made the mistake of promoting one of these events on my Instagram page after having a nice drive out on a cold Sunday morning to West Beach in Littlehampton. It was a nice little meet nothing mad like this one.

I got a message from someone with a picture of my car so I thought I would post it and tag SCM. I go back into the page and the tag has been removed and I have been blocked from their page. Snobbery at its finest I think. Only supercars allowed on their social media pages...

Decided their not worth it and the small drives and meets are a much better and more enjoyable morning.
