This is my recreation of a 1967 Gold Leaf Team Lotus Type 47A. Project started in 2009, based on a Europa S2, using the brilliant Richard Winter of Banks Europa and was completed in 2013. In addition to the modified body and chassis, the car now features a 165bhp Lotus Big Valve Twin Cam engine, AVO suspension, correct Type 47 exhaust, etc. etc. The car is regularly used on the road, but is far happier on the track, where it has proved quick, reliable and loads of fun!
