Land's End to Ness Point, Midsummers Evening 2021
Discussion
Looks like the A12 roadworks (Wangford) are still going ahead.
Looking at the diversion map, you could probably head towards Southwold and turn left at Reydon towards Wrentham. (Its a twisty road I travelled a lot in my youth !). This would add about 6 minutes.
I am still intending to do the Saturday evening, and probably the Royston-Bury St Edmunds-Diss route. (another route I have used a lot).
Sportbrake has new brakes fitted last week, and a remap this week.
Anyone else doing the Saturday evening ?

good luck to all. Drive safe, have fun & hope you nail it all. Unfortunately my health & personal circumstances prevent me from doing the run, I just don’t think I’m safe to do it.
I’m thinking of heading to Ness Point for Tuesday morning sunrise. However, weather forecast not great.

I had hoped I wouldn't have to write this, but, as my old boss used to say; Family First
Unfortunately I am not going to get to LE for the trip, this year.
SWMBO is just at the end of her 1st week of recuperation following major surgery to remove cancer from her shin, thigh, hip and abdomen.
As is often the case, this developed quickly, following a somewhat understated visit to her GP, following the arrival of a strange looking 'mole' on her leg.
We had hoped that she would be fit enough for our daughter to stay over for a couple of nights and combine mother care with chivvying her 3 boys into life and school, but, TBH, it was always a vain hope.
We have agreed that this is a postponement, rather than a cancellation, there's always next year
Have a good trip

Managed to roll into a very (!) wet Ness Point at 0404 on Sunday morning.
About 10 others from other groups had done the Saturday night. One BMW Coupe was left in a lay-by, minus a wheel and suspension (clunked the kerb entering the layby).
A rather enjoyable driving challenge. Roll on 2022
Good luck to all those doing it tonight.

Well done, a good time too, considering the road works at Lowestoft (assuming they are there!)About 10 others from other groups had done the Saturday night. One BMW Coupe was left in a lay-by, minus a wheel and suspension (clunked the kerb entering the layby).

@johner. Hope all gets better soon and hope to see you next year. Anyone else doing in the night of the 21st I’ll be there around 19:00 in a red Astra GTC.
Any chance of an updated yes or no who’s doing Monday night. Cheers
I think I saw your car on a local FB page in the background this morning so looks like you made sunrise?Any chance of an updated yes or no who’s doing Monday night. Cheers
