Hi Ben,

What the latest with this, I'm on the list for Friday and Saturday so staying locally, do we just rock up and get pointed in the right direction or is it a bit more than that. I've had a look at the site map on the Silverstone classic website and that shows car club display areas all numbered do you know which we are booked on?

Cheers, looking forward to this.
Once Silverstone allocate they (Usually) send you quite detailed instructions and a pass for the car with a vague pitch description. Something like Blue 4. On Blue 4 there'll be 10 or so clubs so trying to find your pitch can be difficult, especially if you're the first there! But I'm sure Ben will be there at 6:30am to set up the Gazebo smile
How "local" are you staying? We stay local enough (camping behind Copse corner this year) that we park the car Friday and leave it there for the whole weekend, beats the hassle of getting in each morning.

Parking instructions

Our final numbers for the PistonHeads club parking area are as follows:
  • Friday – 45
  • Saturday – 52
  • Sunday – 55
Our area is blue zone 4. This is in front of the Pit Stop Cafe where we were in 2019, in front of the National Paddock.

We're not taking over the Pit Stop Cafe this year – but watch this space for 2022. As a result and due to family commitments, I'm unable to attend for the three days so we won't have any PH branding. The space should be clearly marked with flags and you can see the location on this map here.

Apologies to those that attended in 2019 as this is a bit of a come down, but due to covid and other commitments it'll be no frills this year. I'm really glad though that the number of you booked on has grown and that you've all been able to make use of our club packages.

Your tickets should have instructions for circuit entry but if there are any other questions, feel free to ask. And fingers crossed we'll be back with more of a bang next year!

Was I psychic guessing Blue 4? I'm sure you'll find a volunteer to put up one PH flag? There must be someone local to you you can hand a suspicious package over to in a Tescos car park :P

It would seem so! biggrin Unfortunately all of our event equipment is in storage in central London but none of us actually live in London anymore so it's not easily accessible until we return to the office later in the year.

We staying in a B and B off site as I have the whole family with me so camping was not an option, so fighting my way in both days unfortunately.

First time I've been so really looking forward to it. Off to FoS first though. rotate

Subject to Covid the access at the Classic is unprecedented. I said to the driver "My son's only here because he wanted to see the CanAms" so he said "I assume you've got a camera on your phone?.... you better get in then"

That's awesome, somehow not going to be quite the same this year I expect. But still, always good to have a chat and nosey around, if nothing else just on the Pistonhead car display.

Does anyone know when the tickets to this event will be sent out?
I'm signed up with the pistonheads display on the Sunday.
Also, are the entry requirements the same as FOS?
I don't think any info has been sent out yet?

I think entry requirements will depend on lockdown fully lifting on the 19th or not, or if the event will need to be run as another pilot event.

I only had the club allocation information through a few days ago, so expect tickets will follow very soon but I don't know dates just yet I'm afraid.

I spoke to the organisers last week as I fluffed up my registration change and they said things come to you about two weeks prior to the event, so pretty soon.

Possibly, trying to convince someone else to come along but they’re hesitant about the cost.. was that Super Early Bird price you paid?

I’ve my mate if he’s interested, waiting for a reply. I don’t think the tickets are assigned, but I know the car reg is. Also heard no one at the gate really cares about the reg!

There is a change car form. https://theclassic.silverstone.co.uk/vehicle-regis...

Let me know if your mate is up for it, I may have an answer from them next week. We can take it from there.

It’s been mentioned here before that the ticket checkers aren’t bothered, but that’s be your call!

Ticket has arrived, there is no number plate on my tickets, or barcode, so I imagine they can't block if we swap tickets?

stevebootes, thoughts on my spare ticket?

Pass just landed here, no tickets though - flyer included says the tickets are electronic, so I guess they'll be available on the Silverstone website soon?

He says he can't afford it! Not just the ticket, the general weekend. Sorry, but if you want me to I can ask around a few others.

No worries, thanks for checking. I'm not losing money, as someone's backed out, so still has to pay.
