GuyR, how come someone went the wrong way last sunday!!!??

Discipline at the event was very poor in comparison to VMax.

The inital instructions on the day did not include the standard Brunters protocol of only going clockwise on the circuit, so several people seemed to leave the pits and drive back to the entrance the wrong way round during the day, as well as the odd car driving down to the 1st corner, turning round then coming back.

In addition, a minority of people there were simply idiots, who were even doing donuts outside the gatehouse and in the pits area - and they included Ferrari drivers. The owners of Brunters were there and were not impressed with the behaviour of many of the group.

Thats right we were told to drive against the flow of traffic to get to the toilets keeping to the left of the track

lets just say the initial briefing was not of the type you normally get at trackdays

Has to be said craig thats why we keep on coming back to VMAX - frankly I wouldn't have gone near a standard trackday in my Maserati. I keep coming back to VMAX because it is the best run track event I've ever attended.

Strong as a lion mate

Pulls like a f**king train it does - no lag, no thought just BAM off it goes - more grip than a warehouse full of uniroyals and the comic book styling has ensured I'm now on just about every passers by holiday video / mobile phone grinning like a cheshire cat

Guy is spot on regards last Saturday.

I was coming round the 45 deg left doing 110 plus on my way back to the start and spotted cars driving slowly towards me. Crazy really.

Hi Dave

Ditto, never got chance to say hello. Shame you didn't make the services to meet us.

Yep, mine is the 173, though I actually got 175 on one run.

The 430 is lovely.

Thanks

Martyn.

I'm learning to drive at MIRA on Thursday and am hugely looking forward to it, an event run by PCGB.

If you want the ultimate Northern V-Max, there are no end of 'zones' easily commensurate with the requisite angle of anvil.

In fact, I'm about to use one in 10 minutes...

Elvington was used by 5Th gear to run VBH at 200mph in the Aston?
She failed!
Its the second home for the Space Shuttle - only runway long enough for it and is said to be an emergency landing site for it

There are twisties if you plan it using a coned section
