Hi Ben.

I'll be there but car-less. I live just down the road and I doubt anyone wants to see a 116i (including me, I hate it.)

Do I still need to sign up or anything or can I just rock up?

Hi Ben, are MB taking cash or card payments for passenger rides? Will they be opening up the skid pan too like previous SS?

Looking forward to it. Cheers

Card or ideally exact cash is fine for the passenger rides. The skid pan is being used for driving experiences, so unless you're doing one of those, we won't be able to use it in the same way this time unfortunately.

Marshals wanted!

Due to a change in staffing, it would be incredibly helpful if I can get one or two volunteers to help with checking passes on entry and parking. I'd need you there for 8:30 and will likely just need assistance for the first hour or so during the rush. Can anyone help please in exchange for some PH goodies? biggrin

ETA: All sorted!

To arrive at this parking area on the banks of the old Brooklands circuit do we come through the main entrance as we have done in the past?

Yes, only entrance, follow the road around the back of MBW and exit to banking on left

I don't have a display space, so just a bit concerned about 'non-display' parking. I'm familiar with Brooklands and know there's very little 'off street' parking in the area.

Any guidance appreciated. Thanks.

If you're local it might be worth popping down but the non-display parking is very limited otherwise and I wouldn't want you to travel a long way to be turned away.

Thanks Ben, we're not too far away. However, we've managed to secure private parking nearby which is handy!

I've just sent out the email with passes and information for Sunday. I'll send it out again on Saturday evening for anyone that makes it onto the list if there are any last minute drop outs.

Here's some of the important stuff to note given how much will be going on at the venue:

Passenger rides: Their elite team of pro drivers will be offering passenger rides on a first come first served basis for £20 from the bus stop across from the railway straight, so make sure you go and put your name down when you arrive to secure a slot. You can pay by card or ideally exact cash.

Simulator competition: Head to the simulator zone to try and get your name at the top of the leaderboard for the day. It's £10 per race on a GT or F1 style simulator and we'll be giving away a £100 voucher to the PistonHeads shop to the fastest PH member on the day.

Food & refreshments: There will be light refreshments available on the railway straight, or you can go to the Recharge Café indoor for a more extensive range of barista coffees, with breakfast and lunch also available.

10% discount on driving experiences: On top of all of this, Mercedes-Benz World are also offering a 10% discount on all driving experiences (excluding passenger rides) booked between 27th March - 10th April using discount code 'Piston22'.

If anyone hasn't got the email that's on the list, check your spam and if it's still not there, then drop me a PM biggrin

I was planning to come in the CSL but can't make it now, so whoever was next on the list is in! Really sorry to be missing the event...

Debating whether to bring my daily drive Up! GTI, or one of the 90’s Rovers…what say you, other attendees?

Awaiting servicing and titivation to awaken it from winter slumber, plus it feels a bit wasted subjecting it to A1/M25/A3 monotony frown

I guess no other bugger will be daft/sad enough to turn up in a Rover… biggrin
