Would love to have come to this. Attended the last one and enjoyed it, especially the skid pan bit.
Unfortunately I have already arranged a holiday which clashes so won’t be able to make it this time. Hope everyone who goes has a good day.

That looks really good! But 8.5 hour round trip counts me out.

Damn….saw this too late for the skid pan which is annoying as I’m just up the road that weekend for my grandad’s 90th and was looking for something to do on the Sunday!

Mission Motorsport are looking to see if they can run some more skid pan sessions at 12:00 - 12:30 and 12:30 - 13:00 so watch this space!

Sweet. If they are, I’m in as I’m just up the road that weekend.

Ben, do you know if it's possible to do multiple laps of the circuit on the Mission Motorsport "Walk the Track" fundraiser?

scratchchin I'm wondering if I can get interest in running a couple of laps. biggrin

Can the 'Walk the Track' be purchased up until the event online or on the day?

For those who enjoy walking the track at the Sunday Service, there are also (completely separate and unrelated) events across the year where you can run and/or cycle the track. I did a duathlon there a few weeks ago, gives you a different perspective on the circuit that's for sure biggrin

Update to add that it's walking only I'm afraid Jeremy, as otherwise they would need medics on site if people were running/cycling.

And no issue with just paying on the day if easier for the track walk.

Hi! We’ll be running it, 6 cars in a group, each on in rotation on the pan so… 5 minutes of looking out of your side windows. It is a really social thing too, good fun to watch others. Click the booking link for more details, it won’t steal your soul to get more details. Promise.
What’s the surface for this? Very wet concrete?

Asking as I’ll have some brand new tyres on by then and just wondered whether it’d take much out of them?

Something very wet and slippy with next to no grip. Suffice to say it certainly won't be like doing a track day!

Spent an afternoon earlier in the year on that skid pan with the L7C. It’s super slippery and also slopes away. Good fun for a 5 minute taster session. Watch out for the mesh on the very edge on the left on the way in and don’t go steaming onto the grippy tarmac around the outside!

More skid pan sessions added

While the Sunday Service officially draws to a close at midday, two more skid pan sessions have been added at 12:00 and 12:30 due to the demand. They won't hang around for long! biggrin
