Can you get food in the cafe without paying for tickets?
I'm afraid not, as per the event article, you'll need to pay for entry to the museum to access the cafe and toilets.RossP said:
A friend is 716 on the list. In my experience there are usually enough dropouts that he'll make it onto the main list. How does that work with the passes going out today?
I've just sent the email out so we normally see a few drop outs. I'll send it out again tomorrow PM to anyone else that has made it onto the list.illmonkey said:
Forgive me, I've not organised anything like this, but feedback from my first time, all in good spirits, I enjoyed my visit
I was gagging for a coffee by the time I got there, no sign of a van to serve some brekkie either. I imagine with 700 cars you had 1000+ people, so I can imagine it'd be worth having 1 at least. I'd have coughed up £7 for a coffee and sausage bap. Just look at the queues of people at the scrambles to know they'll get used.
It'd also be good to have a stand maybe, people can go to for any questions, or talk to the big boys of PH. I also saw no sort "staff" type tops if you wanted help, only the people doing the car park (one of which I asked for directions to coffee!).
It was great that it was informal and people were coming and going at their leisure, but a little bit of direction isn't always bad, both literally and physically!
And free stuff, obvs.
Thanks for this and for coming along for your first Sunday Service! The event article and the email sent out a few days before did specifically state that the cafe would only be accessible with entry to the museum, hence no outside catering this time I'm afraid.I was gagging for a coffee by the time I got there, no sign of a van to serve some brekkie either. We haven't had a PH stand with merchandise for sale since 2018, however this is something we're looking at bring back this year. Good to know it's being missed and thanks for coming along!

Appreciate the reply, and I imagine you had to stick to their rules. But I'm not buying a ticket to go to a cafe! They missed an opportunity of having a someone outside (or not in the paid for area) selling coffee and some basic food.
A merch stand is more than just merch, it's a base for people to go talk to staff, ask questions, flyers for other events, banners, photo ops etc. Banners every end of rows of cars so it's in every photo published to SM. hashtag that isn't linked to gospel groups!
I'm sure I'm telling you how to suck eggs, just seems lots of missed opportunities to publicise yourselves!

Hi chaps. I have my name down for the upcoming Sunday Service, my first, but the event looks way oversubscribed - will there be checking on the door, or is it likely to become a first come first serve free for all? I'd rather not travel to then find I can't get in because people not on the list chose to get there early
We will be checking passes as people arrive yes as unfortunately there's only space for 400 cars. I wish we could have everyone there! There'll likely be a number of drop outs the week before, so keep an eye on the list to see if you move up.Up next: Prescott Hill Climb Sunday Service - 2 April
Very excited for this one, we've got cars running up the hill all day along with a number of other car clubs. It's not very often we have a Sunday Service with live action and such a fantastic venue to walk around.
The event is running from 10:00 - 17:00 for spectators. Early bird general admission can be bought in advance for £12 per person or it's £15 on the day. Full details are available here.
