corrected for you - but at least there were some lovely older ones... Did like the parking outside Singer
For me the best area was the readers cars, but the lighting in the hanger was appalling, which was a shame.
Rare and exotic had some really interesting cars and it was great to chat to the owners.
Saloons, hot hatches , not my cup of tea, but there really seemed to be a lack of cars on display, but then walking the car park was brilliant, like the scramble used to be, if you ignored 911, 911, 911 oh something interesting, 911, 911...
Why all the bad press aimed at 911s, there were lots there indeed, at a petrolhead meet, possibly there's a good reason why For me the best area was the readers cars, but the lighting in the hanger was appalling, which was a shame.

Lucky you didn't go to Le Mans Classic, you'd have hated it there were about 950 parked up there
I'm not saying they aren't good cars, just that a field of over a thousand is boring...

Weirdly I was there, camping with PH - and yes the field/club stand was full of over a thousand. Imagine trying to remember where you parked your silver 911 derivative

And that’s what makes Pistonheads events so great is that it’s not a field of owners clubs all with the same car judging someone on the fact they’ve modified it, or not using OEM wipers. I'm not saying they aren't good cars, just that a field of over a thousand is boring...
But certain cars you will see more of, Porsche, Caterham, Toyota Yaris because they appeal to petrolheads and affordable.

Absolutely! 911 with quirky stickers in the rear quarter n/s windows are de rigeur at Scramble nowadays. Yawn!
Ah well, sorry about the stickers Personally I loved the event, definitely could have been more cars in the ‘display’ area, but plenty of variety and other than 2(!) burgundy 959s and the RWB trio mine was the only normal ‘911’ I spotted inside the gates.
It’s bit of a trek for me, but I’ve got local family so that splits the difference. I stopped at Caffeine & Machine for lunch on the way back so good to get the most ‘car stuff’ in one weekend that you can!
Happily look forward to the next one.

Boring??? a thousand covering different variants over 60 years of evolution this is half the Classic LM experience innit. Time you were checked for colour blindness maybe 😂I'm not saying they aren't good cars, just that a field of over a thousand is boring...
. See not boring at all😂😂
