who frigging cares who came first - they ripped our design off
That's theft - fullstop fcking period
It's my company's IPR - nowt to do with Cannonball8000 nor Cannonball Europe
I spoke to Ian - and he was OK and said they would change the design - of course it's not happened and it's pointless taking legal action - costs too much and not enought return on it
Whats your design??

Hi NJW77, I'll endevour to answer your question!
There are currently 3 Cannonball Runs in the pipeline (Uk Start, European Start & American start's):
1) UK Start - (9th - 14th July 2006) - Run by Jan Dechamps & Patrick Nelson after they bought the UK start franchise last year.
2)European Start - (3rd - 9th September 2006) - (For mainland Europeans)- Run by Tim Porter, you've probably seen his yellow 750bhp Supra in Horsham.
3)The Great American Run (29th July - 4th August 2007)- Also organised by Tim Porter.
There are also a few other 'balls' out there but now there is no excuse to confuse them with these original Cannonball Runs.
P.S Look out for some exciting new events next year.....I'll say no more!

It would be a total dream to do this event, i'm trying to get a friend in a 911 to split the cost and share the driving.
I've a trackspec MR2 Turbo i'd love to run, i could brand it up no end so it fitted in but it's only got one seat and the cost is very prohibitive.
3 days of driving and partying, fantastic. I will have done one before i'm 30.

If you can mate do it I did the cannonballruneurope last summer 5 days/ 3000 miles/ 7 countries. Had the time of my life!! Me and my mate were 20 & 21. Going to try and do it again this year if i can raise the funds!!!
You know, all these cannonball runs are all very well and good, but are expensive no matter what way you cut it. Eurothrash do something very similar and have been growing over the last three years. I have been giving a hand in organising these and can honestly say that the feedback and repeat bookings gained in 2006 prove that one of these rallies can be profesionaly organised without demanding outrageous costs.
2000 mile, 6 days, 6 nights, luxury hotels, eveing meals, track time, evening parties, day time activites, award ceremony and closing party aboard a luxury cruise liner on an overnight crossing from Spain...
£2,495.00!!! For one car and 2 people!
For people who want all the cannonball experience but live on a more realistic budget there is now a good quality event. Fer people who are wise with their money would only need to come on one event to realise this is the more sensible event to be on.

Im planning on the real cannonball run in either in July or September, by the team who are planning the world cannonball in the states east to west coast - which is gonna be FAB FAB FAB
I shall see you in September for a blast through Europe, there are quite a few of us Brits doing the Europe event. Shall we both wear leather this time, although I don't think I would look as good as you did.

Might be able to keep the pace up this time, in a car with a roof and some creature comforts, oh and better fuel economy....

Can anyone translate the article in French via the link below, in particular the bit that mentions the Kent Police, does it say the British gave the French details of who was coming !!
http://fr.news.yahoo.com/10072006/290
http://fr.news.yahoo.com/10072006/290
Just translated it and yes the article does say that the French police were tipped off by Kent police as to the presence of the Cannonballers. The article goes on to say that this has been happening for the last 2 years with tip-offs whenever there is a similar event.
On the way to Le Mans this year it was much the same. It seems that that the politically correct brigade of do-gooders in this country have struck again!
