Things to bring
Discussion
Seeing as I have to pack tomorrow, trying to think of things I'll need to bring, especially as I havent been camping since I was about 5!!
Apart from the obvious such as a tent and lots of layers of clothing, what else should I bring?
All I've got down at the moment is earplugs (suggested for anyone camping withing a 20 mile radius of nonegreen) oh and mustn't forget a towel!!
Still bringing hairdryer and straighteners in the hope I can find a plug socket somewhere!!

Water carrier to fill with water for washing/washing up

Roll mat
Two blankets or duvets (underneath as well as above as ground gets cold this time of year, in addition to sleeping bag if you don't have four seasons type used by serious campers/mountaineers)
Emergency food (muesli bars, chocolate, bananas, or Kendal Mint Cake if you really do suffer with low blood sugar or get hungry really quickly)
Camping stove and pan - if cooking - with adequate fuel supply
Pen knife (or Swiss Army knife if you are really serious)
Torch (to avoid tripping over guide ropes and make night time trips to loo less hazardous)
Plate to eat off unless you want to eat out of a tin/saucepan.
Spare carrier bags/bin bags to put rubbish in

Matches/lighter of course, no good having a stove if you can't light it.
D'oh! Knew I missed something!
Knife, fork, spoon unless you fancy using your fingers to eat
Glyn.
Fingers were made before forks Swiss army knife can be utilized effectively
Camping shops sell a spoon, knife and fork that all clip together.
I was going to add a chair to sit on to that list. Not essential, I know, but the ground is wet around this time of year and if you suffer with a bad back... I have camped for four weeks without a chair, but I did have a Harley to sit on for most of the day
And a hammer or big boot to push tent pegs home.
