Sorry I never got to see you and the Corrado boys' toys today. Was good to catch up with you at least on Sunday

I had thought that coming to PF without my Tiv would be a disaster... It turned out to be a bit of a laugh in the end!

Was good to catch up with some friends as well as meeting new folks, next year I'll have to plan far enough in advance to be able to come for the whole weekend.

"Buzzing" Vixpy1 on the way up at about twice his speed.

Watching the 2CV race at midnight, on the back of a Warrior, under a blanket made to keep a GT3 warm.

Asking Irish if he was in fact, Irish.

Talking shop with Marquis_Rex.

Eating tepid pasta.

Watching poor matt172 on the receiving end of some spirited gurning. And I can vouch for the fact that it wasn't him guv'na

Meeting loads of PHers for the first time - just so pissed off I didn't meet half as many as I intended to.

PS Was it me or was their version of Sweet Child O' Mine on speed ?

It was but I don't think that was a particularly bad thing - it kept the pace of the set up.

Fab weekend and so great to meet new people and see people I have met before (not that my feeble memory helped with that)

Highlights:

Sword fighting and losing my scabbard
Tractors
The beach and dodging the poo, dead seagul and watching one of the team fall over 4 times
Fires in the gazebo
Fantastic chilli and great communal eating
Cereal on the dancefloor - wtf was that all about??!!
The amazing Chevvy - so sorry you found it too cold to stay.
The million candle power torch! Wow!
People admiring Blipi (my Elan) Mummy is so proud of her.

Lower points:
The toilets being miles off
The cold
Packing up in the rain.

Thanks for a great time and please say hi if you remember me! Sorry I scarpered before most people got up on Monday.

As fellow Elan owners we were planning to come over and say "hi" but it never happened unfortunately. So, er, "hi"

I found the security team at Snetterton to be very amenable and polite. I had cause to speak to them about a number of matters which all got sorted quietly and without you lot noticing. That's a good service from my perspective.

er, hmm, apologies there Ted! I apologised to the chap right away (once I realised he had clocked me and was going to bollox me) and even refilled the divots without bidding. Still can't believe just how soft that ground was!

Shame we couldn't play Murderball though... torchlight would've been interesting!

Highlight?

1) the drive across from LFE was a real blast
2) getting the tent put up and then looking around and realising that all you had to do was drink beer and talk bollox for the next two days
3) watching the 2CVs tear @rsing it round the S's with various degrees of success!
4) mostly though, meeting all the people that you only get to see a few times a year

Who was the lad from Yorkshire with the blue Fiesta Zetec with the Darth Vader bodykit and the sound system? Putting a few classic 'choons' on and cranking it up was impressive. Gustav Holst 'Mars the bringer of war' was bloody brilliant, and a few tracks from 'Carmina Burriana' (see what I did there ) great stuff.

All I have ever said on here about 'Max power', I take it all back

You can't avoid defeat that easily! The sword will remain in the car to allow battle to recommence at the next available opportunity!
