This weekend was the best, a mass of Lamborghini's and other exotica... Marvellous!!!

As for DJC's comments below:-

Well it was bloody chucking it down on the way back from Brooklands. The event was OK, just a shame not enough interesting metal there, once you've seen one Gallardo or Murci you've seen 100s. A 350 and 400GT there that looked gorgeous, an F40 and a Zonda in ugly orange which only served to highlight was a c0ck awful looking car it really is.

2 Gallardo drop tops looked pretty kewl though, a damn sight more interesting than the coupe anyway.

You must lead a pretty dull life if the sight of Lamborghini's finest dosen't do anything for you! as for your comments about the Zonda, you must be on some seriously strong drugs!! the Zonda is THE most finest piece of Automotive sculpture I've ever seen. The attention to detail is just amazing.

Lay off the drugs and try and enter the real world.

Wow! Well although I was late getting down (around 3:30) I saw a fine array of beauties!

And the Zonda, well, pant changing excercise or what?! Stunning.

It's a real shame that people have to go silly out of jealousy or whatever twisted little reasons. Some scroat had paintballed some cars including the Zonda and my Elan!

Luckily it looked water based and no damage done.

It's a total shame the weather had to do it's worst but I'm sure others like myself still had a fab show!

Top marks to all those who braved bringing their monsters and to those who enjoyed the display.

Those CTs still do the trick don't they? Good to see some V8s . . .

A bit harsh, Dave. But I know what you mean. I agree that the newer cars may not have the visual drama of a Diablo or Countach. Particularly the Gallardo, as it doesn't have what many consider to be "proper" doors.

People have become so used to the idea of a Lambo being either a CT or Diablo, of one sort or another, I suppose it's going to take a while for some to accept these new cars. That's as true of Lambo owners as other car enthusiasts.

But the factory is only alive today because some of us are prepared to put our hands in our pockets and our cash where our mouth is. So if you could be a bit more charitable, it would be appreciated.

Well said.... it is the people who fork out the money (normally hard earned) to support factories such as Lamborghini and Pagani over the years that keep these fabulous cars alive. Without it we would all starve on the normal diet of ordinary transport and also have nothing to dream about.
