Hey Y'all, well what can I say?

words simply CANNOT describe the atmoshpere at Americana, I'm not even going to attempt to try, it's a place where EVERYONE has a common interest, and that's Cars and Music. You simply cannot believe how busy it gets there, this is how busy it can be, and believe you me, it got busier:

Friday night I stopped to watch Eve Selis, WOW she can sing and then some! Mightily Impressed was I.

Saturday was a d**n good day an all, the show field was busy and there were live acts on all day, it's honestly sooo hard to decide what you're going to do and see, so we decided to see Travis in the evening. I'll be honest, I'm no Elvis fan but 'kin hell, the guy is AMAZING, it really is just like watching elvis. After Travis finished, I went to see Quill. We had them at the spring nats, and you know what, this time they were even better!! I'm not one for dancing, I'll just stand there with me hands in me pockets, but you know what? when Copperhead road was played I was there at the front stomping away like mad! absolutely stunning, one of the highest rated acts from me!

Sunday, the WOW factor on sunday was there for sure. With some truly stunning cars on display (including the hemi 69 Dodge Charger Daytona pictured below) I was drooling all day!

Now suffice to say, my d**n Camera was playing up all day, some of the shots came out blurred, but alot came out ok so I guess all's well that ends well?

Sunday Evening, well, I HAD to go see hayseed dixie, and feck me they were awesome!!!! I hadn't enjoyed myself like that well, ever actually! They really got the whole field going and everyone I saw was dancing or bopping. I don't know what it is about those guys but they eminate the fun in what they're doing. And when the two brothers shared the banjo....man I was in awe!!!!

the guys in action there!

After seeing them we retired to the bar and enjoyed a good drink! The only problem being that it was over. I had one of the best experiences of my life and for those day trippers I say go for the weekend, there is sooooo much to do you cannot possibly pack it all in!

Now for some pictures of the cars there over the weekend:

That one is specially for you Angie, and it's not hard to see why you won best mopar is it? well done!

My own personal thanks to Chris and Bev, without whom this would not be possible, Dave and Andrea you do look after me well, same to Deej and Barb, and all the blacktops for putting up with me on the weekend! It was nice to see friends of old (Rog that's not necessarily aimed at you! hee hee hee) and to meet some new faces (hi to all you guys!)

See you at the next show I'm at, don't know which one that'll be yet! lol, seems to be spontanious. he he.

Safe Cruisin'.
