Hi,

I believe Surrey RR has a 4WD set up?

Would an M5 driver be welcome to have a watch and a chat?

Thanks
Richard

Yes it's got a 4WD set-up but can't take the 4WD Porkers.

More than welcome to come and have a chat and watch, especially as I'd like a E39 M5 myself.

ylee coyote be good if you could make it too. We had to restrict it to Porsche and TVR to keep the numbers manageable for a days running.

ETA: Our latest list.

it certainly can run 4wd porsches and has a special mode just for thier front viscous

its infact the only make of Dyno you can safely run a porsche 4WD on

We've run 750+ bhp on 4wd, thats not the issue. The issue is that Porsche 4wd systems tend to oscillate the power back and forth, so you have to disconnect the prop shaft to the front.

Charlie's rollers, Charlie's rules. It's all over my head when it gets technical like .

Taken from here

Personally I think they're favouring the TVRs.

Correction guys, I have been informed by the factory that the 4wd Porsches run fine on the newer software (which i have), obviously we are full now for this one, but worth bearing in mind for the next one.

At the risk of incurring some serious ribbing, can someone please confirm for a first timer what the criteria are to win this for us Porkers?

I'm afraid it still counts the turbos out, because of the positioning of the intercoolers they require special fans and ducts, which we don't have at the mo (I would do very few turbos a year and it would'nt be econimical).

and no, i'm not biased !

As Ricc said somewhere (damn these multiple posts, seemed like a good idea at the time ) it is ultimately just a bit of fun; however there will be a trophy and I think for ease it will simply be a winner takes all, highest single output on the day wins. It was suggested that we use team totals but felt that if we did that then it might put off the older/lower capacity cars from wanting to run for fear of damaging their teams stats - we wanted to see a good selection which I think we have. We can tot up team totals for fun as well, just out of curiosity you see .

Oh and even I will notice if you rock up in the Mosler with a Porsche badge stuck on the front

Mmmmmmm surely the top bhp prize will go to either the Supercharged 928 or the Nitrous'd 928?

The only way a TVR would win is if it's power to weight

Jules.

Will be interesting to see how much BHP the modded Tivs put out against the manufacturer's standard claims...
